πŸ“£"Mabuhay ang Pilipinasβ€”tahanan ng pag-asa, tahanan ng pagkakaisa!" πŸ‡΅πŸ‡β€οΈ

As we commemorate Philippine Independence Day, we pay tribute to the generations of Filipinos whose courage paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today. May their legacy inspire us to serve our communities with integrity, kindness, and a shared commitment to nation-building.

Did you know? πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

The Philippines observed Independence Day on July 4 for many years after gaining full independence from the United States in 1946. In 1962, President Diosdado Macapagal officially declared June 12 as the nation's Independence Day, honoring the Philippines' original declaration of independence from Spain on June 12, 1898. This was later affirmed through Republic Act No. 4166 in 1964.

Happy Philippine Independence Day!

πŸ…πŸ’™ Strengthening teamwork beyond the workplace!

The Manila YMCA Directors and Employees Association (MYDEA) Sportsfest 2026 officially opened last June 6, 2026 at the YMCA of Manila, bringing together the dedicated directors, employees, and staff who make up the MYDEA family for a celebration of camaraderie, wellness, and friendly competition.

Held in conjunction with the 182nd Anniversary of the World YMCA, the Sportsfest serves as a reminder that the YMCA spirit thrives not only through service, but also through unity, teamwork, and healthy living.

The excitement kicked off with the opening ceremonies and the first game of the MYDEA Men's Basketball Tournament at the YMCA of Manila Court, setting the tone for an action-packed season ahead. πŸ€πŸ”₯

Here's to building stronger bonds, creating lasting memories, and celebrating the YMCA spirit both on and off the court!

🧹A cleaner classroom today, a brighter future tomorrow.πŸ“š

From June 2 to 5, 2026, the YMCA of Manila, Inc., through the Red Triangle Club Advisory Council, proudly supported Brigada Eskwela 2026 by donating cleaning materials to several public elementary schools across Districts 1 to 6.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to creating safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments where students can learn, grow, and thrive. As a community, we believe that every contribution, no matter how simple, helps build a brighter future for our youth.

πŸ’™ Our heartfelt thanks to all partner schools, volunteers, RTC Coordinators, and advisers who continue to make the spirit of service and bayanihan alive.

Together, we prepare not just classrooms, but opportunities for the next generation.

When was the last time you asked yourself, "How am I really doing?"

Have you been carrying more than you let on?
Smiling through stress?
Telling everyone you're okay, even when you're not?

June is also Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. Take a moment to check in with yourself and the people around you. A conversation, a listening ear, or a simple "Are you okay?" can mean more than we realize.

You don't have to face every challenge alone. Your thoughts matter. Your feelings matter. You matter. πŸ’™
