396 Families Receive Shelter and Hygiene Assistance in La Castellana

Caritas Philippines, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the Commission on Social Action of the Diocese of Kabankalan, provided Shelter and Hygiene Kits to 396 families in La Castellana, Negros Occidental through the Philippines Typhoon Emergency Response and Early Recovery Project.

The assistance reached beneficiaries in Brgys. Sag-ang, Robles, Biak na Bato, and Cabagnaan, helping families recover and rebuild after the devastation of Typhoon Tino.

We thank the Diocese of Kabankalan, Msgr. Emmanuel Magno, Rev. Fr. Ramon Olam, and all our partners for their unwavering commitment to serving communities with compassion and hope.

FRASSATI DAY 2026

Caritas Philippines supports Frassati Day 2026 and invites everyone to join "Pataas sa Diyos, Pababa sa Kapwa": Frassati Day 2026, a celebration honoring the feast day of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati—patron of the poor and marginalized, advocate of social justice, and an inspiring model for young people.

Organized by the Young Thomasian Professionals–Lay Dominican Fraternity (YTP-LDF) of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), in partnership with The Manila Cathedral and the Frassati Society Philippines (FSP), the event will culminate on 4 July 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at The Manila Cathedral.
