MARCOS LEGACY: PH'S FIRST-EVER ANTI-HUNGER, FOOD STAMP PROGRAM

| For the first time in Philippine history, the government has launched a comprehensive anti-hunger program, Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian said Saturday, saying no previous administration ever did this before.

Gatchalian told DZRH News program "Special on Saturday" that the Marcos administration's Walang Gutom program combines food stamps for 750,000 food-poor families and the country's first-ever government soup kitchens, which have already served over 300,000 meals since December 2024.

Sa inilabas na video ni Palace Press Officer Claire Castro ngayong Linggo, July 26, sinagot niya ang naging pahayag ni Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte kaugnay sa umano'y mga priority at programa ng pamahalaan.

"Instead na unahin ang kapakanan ng constituents sa Davao City dahil nakakaranas sila ng pagbaha, inuna pa talaga ang pamumulitika," saad ni Castro.

Naungusan ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte si dating vice president at ngayo’y Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo sa two-way presidential preference unaided survey ng Pulse Asia Research, Inc. para sa 2028 elections.

Sa isinagawang survey noong June 28 hanggang July 3 at 6, 2026, nakakuha ang bise ng 52%. Nakatanggap naman ang alkalde ng 39%.

Inanunsyo na ni VP Sara noong Pebrero na tatakbo siya sa pagkapangulo.

Inihayag naman ni Robredo na walang siyang planong tumakbo sa anumang national position sa 2028.
