๐Ÿ“ฃ Smart Preparation for Typhoon Coming Monday ๐ŸŒŠ
If youโ€™re in a province where a typhoon is expected Monday, nowโ€™s the time to act โ€” calmly and realistically. Hereโ€™s what you can do today to make a big difference:

โœ… What to Do Now
1. Check your emergency kit & go bag
-Make sure you have at least 3 daysโ€™ worth of essentials: water, non-perishables, medicines, flashlight/batteries, a fully charged power bank, important documents sealed in a ziplock.

2. Secure your home
-Trim loose tree branches near your house.
-Clear gutters and drains so water flows away.
-Anchor or bring inside loose items outside (bins, chairs, tarps).
-Check windows and doorsโ€”can they withstand heavy wind?

3. Plan your evacuation route and safe zone
Know the nearest evacuation center or higher ground. Discuss with your family: When will you leave? Where will you meet if separated?

4. Monitor official updates only
-Keep your radio or phone charged. Follow PAGASA and local barangay alerts for wind signals and rainfall warnings. Avoid rumors.

5. Support your neighbors and community
-If you have extra supplies or transportation, check on elders or persons with disabilities nearby. A strong community response helps everyone.

๐Ÿงญ Why This Matters:
Typhoons bring more than wind โ€” heavy rain, flooding, power outages and landslides can follow. By preparing today, you reduce risks and help your home and community stay resilient.

Letโ€™s stay ready, not worried. Every smart step now gives you greater peace of mind later.

Prep more. Worry less. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

โ›ˆ๏ธIn light of Typhoon Tinoโ€™s impact across Visayas and nearby regions, this is a timely reminder:

๐Ÿ›’ Emergency Stock โ‰  Panic Buying

With thousands evacuated, storm surges and flooding expected, and wind signals raised, many provinces are bracing for serious effects.

This makes mindful preparedness more important than ever โ€” for each household and the whole community.

โœ… Hereโ€™s how to prepare responsibly:

๐Ÿ“Build your emergency stock gradually, based on what your family actually uses.
๐Ÿ“Prioritize essentials (water, food, medicine, light/portable power) rather than rushing to buy everything at once.
๐Ÿ“Rotate and refresh your stock so nothing expires and youโ€™re always ready.
๐Ÿ“Be considerate of others โ€” hoarding during a typhoon alert worsens shortages for vulnerable communities.
๐Ÿ“Stay informed on evacuation routes, local alerts, and conditions as Tino moves.

Letโ€™s stay calm, prepared, and compassionate.

In the face of Typhoon Tino, our readiness means less panic, fewer losses, and stronger communities. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Disasters Aren't Natural ๐ŸŒ

There is no natural disaster, disasters are not natural. Remember.
Natural hazards (like floods or storms) become disasters due to human choices in planning and preparedness.
Let's focus on resilience and reducing vulnerability to minimize future impacts. Preparation saves lives!
Join us: PREPPERS OF THE PHILIPPINES

Let's break the chain. Stop saying NATURAL disasters - and others will follow. ๐Ÿ’ก

There is no such thing as a natural disaster! โŒ
A hurricane, earthquake, or flood is a natural hazardโ€”but it only becomes a disaster when people are unprotected, exposed, and vulnerable due to the lack of preparedness, inequalities or other vulnerabilities. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒŠ

By calling disasters "natural," we ignore the human choices that cause disaster โ€“ and the actions we can take to prevent them.

Next time you hear that phrase โ€“ โ€œnatural disasterโ€ โ€“ step up and correct the speaker: ๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThere is no such thing as a natural disaster.โ€ Together, we can break the chain and shift the narrative!

SHAKE, GRAB, GO! | UP Diliman College of Architecture

Yesterdayโ€™s event brought together advocates, experts, and preparedness enthusiasts for a full day of learning, sharing, and connection! ๐Ÿ™Œ

The Preppers of the Philippines community is honored to have been part of Shake, Grab, Go! โ€” an event that highlighted the importance of knowledge, readiness, and having the right gear for any emergency.

From earthquake science and family emergency planning to survival kits, emergency communication, and pet safety, the sessions reminded us all of one truth: Preparedness saves lives.

We thank our partners and fellow advocates โ€” UP Resilience Institute, PrepperED-Pinoy Prepper Bazaar , Disaster Intelligence Inc., SGT PREPPER Official, UP Vanguard, UPMV K9 Search and Rescue, and Nuvali Preppers โ€” for making this advocacy stronger together. ๐Ÿ’ช

Letโ€™s continue promoting a culture of readiness and resilience across communities.

Because in every crisis, being prepared makes the difference. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
