AMSA-UST could not blast off without its amazing crew, ready to fight Zurg for Star Command! To all the members who attended, keep that light shining throughout the A.Y. as we head for the stars 🌟. After getting a glimpse at what's to come for this year's amazing (toy) story, AMSA-UST hopes to see you at each and every event. 🎫

Thanks for helping us, from one toy to another, as we get to experience what this new year for AMSA-UST has got to offer.

Don’t let abstract writing steal your time. ⏳ Fresh off our first SYNAPSE release, here’s a quick visual breakdown of an abstract’s anatomy to keep you grounded.

SCORE brought us here the first-ever issue of 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗘! Better get those neurons firing because we’re finally breaching the research world’s event horizon. ✍️

In this issue of SYNAPSE, we try to make sense of the impossibly dense abstract. Join 🐍Comet as we answer the question: “How can you fit months of research in JUST ~250 words?!”

From JAMSA submission guidelines to word allocation tips, this issue will take you through the ins and outs of abstract writing! 🫵✨

A person's struggles are not always apparent. They can hide behind the brightest smiles and seep through the loudest laughs. We may not always know what someone is carrying, but we can always choose to be a little more present.

So, let's talk about it.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 🫂

In all the ways the world pushes us into leaving, be someone's reason to stay. 🤍

To a single human cell, your body is an infinite, incomprehensible cosmos 🌌 And to a student, the medical research universe may feel pretty much the same: monstrous, chaotic, and relentlessly expanding!

Every year, millions of studies collide, leaving behind a haze of p-values, elusive journal rubrics, and great existential panic.

So, what happens if we build a telescope just for that? 🔭✨

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗘 (𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲)💡

Instead of letting the academic void swallow students whole, we are distilling the mechanics of modern science into clean, bite-sized monthly packets:

🌌 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Decoding JAMSA International, unravelling abstract submissions, and breaking down open calls without the headache and confusion

🔬 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: A reliable blueprint through the research wilderness from your very first hypothesis to the final draft

🗓️ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲: The 30th of every month

🚀 𝗢𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝟬𝟭: 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬 | 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟬𝟭

The universe doesn't care if you understand it, but we definitely do, so stay tuned, and let’s figure this out together 🦆🪐
