Founded on May 3, 1868 by a wealthy philanthropist, DoƱa Margarita Roxas de Ayala. On July 22, 1862 fifteen Daughters of Charity arrived in the Philippines after a three months journey from Spain aboard the frigate Conception. Six years after, in 1868, the school was officially n

amed Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion de la Concordia, at the same time that it became the Central House of the Daughters of Charity in the Philippines.
