Akap sa Bata ng mga Guro - Kalinga - Philippines Inc. For a Child-Friendly Society where Justice, Peace and Love for Creation Reign. Akap sa Bata’s Community-Based Model resolves these problems.

With the family and the community as the primary service providers for child care, the poor are empowered to set up and sustain their centers. They take upon themselves the responsibility for the child centers, mobilizing whatever community resources they have, including the conduct of advocacy work to encourage the well-off, civil society, church groups and local government to support the program

. In return, they volunteer their services; donate money, resources and manpower, including the teachers’; for the program. Thus, self-reliant centers are set up in the communities.
