We were blown away by the interest in effective altruism, receiving 316 applications for an event with a capacity of 200 people. Decisions have been sent to most applicants, but we need some time to process the rest.

Welcome to the second half of the year – we'd like to highlight that applications are still ongoing for the EA Summit Philippines 2025, and will continue until August 20.

We are accepting mentee applications from individuals of all genders from traditionally underrepresented groups.

Magnify Mentoring is a global network of over 250 mid to senior career mentors representing over 40 countries and a tremendous breadth of experience and expertise. Mentees are matched with a mentor who can help them achieve their goals. Pairings typically meet for 60 to 90 minutes per month for 6 months, with optional discussion prompts. Mentees are also invited to participate in training, networking sessions, and our Slack community.

We are accepting applications from people from traditionally underrepresented groups who are ambitious and rigorous in their altruism, and want to have a positive impact with their careers and lives. Our target demographics include people from low-and-middle-income countries, low-income households, and underrepresented ethnic groups, but we are open to applications from other underrepresented groups. Past mentees have been particularly successful when they have clear goals for what they want to achieve during mentorship.
Mentees rate the Magnify Mentoring program very highly and report:
a. Personalized advice, guidance, and resources for achieving their goals.
b. Connections and support for pursuing opportunities in jobs and funding.
c. Increased confidence and professional development.
Practical guidance on networking, resume writing, and career strategy.
d. Access to a supportive community during challenging transitions.
