The latest issue highlights the various activities, achievements, and accomplishments of DeMolay Philippines and its constituent chapters, celebrating the continued dedication and brotherhood of DeMolays across the country.

In DeMolay, the Sentinel is the officer stationed at the Chapter door, entrusted with guarding the Chapter room and ensuring that only qualified individuals may enter. In much the same spirit, the DeMolay Sentinels serve as a gateway through which the Order’s stories, accomplishments, values, and enduring bonds of brotherhood can be shared with the public.

Through this publication, DeMolay Philippines continues to showcase the purpose and ideals of the Order while strengthening its presence across different platforms and faithfully upholding the virtues of DeMolay.

DeMolay Philippines proudly takes part in the 2026 DeMolay International Session held in Chicago, USA, joining DeMolays, Advisors, leaders, and brethren from different jurisdictions across the world in a meaningful gathering centered on leadership, service, brotherhood, and the continued advancement of the DeMolay movement.

Representing the Philippines on this significant international occasion, the Philippine delegation is led by Grand Master Hon. Albert V. Manlulu, together with Leg. Grand Senior Councilor Ericson Atanacio, Grand Junior Steward Leg. Emerson Atanacio, National Master Councilor Bro. Joaquin Echeverria, Past National Master Councilor Bro. Frederick Atanacio, Regional Master Councilor Bro. Theodore Atanacio, and Bro. Matteo Atanacio.

Their presence at the International Session stands as a proud representation of the dedication, excellence, and commitment of DeMolay Philippines to the values and principles that have guided the Order for generations. It is also a testament to the strong and enduring spirit of Filipino DeMolays, who continue to uphold the ideals of filial love, reverence for sacred things, courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness, and patriotism wherever they may be.

Upon their arrival in the United States, the delegation was warmly welcomed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport by brethren from the jurisdiction, led by SCOD Grand Representative for Illinois Leg. Eric Delmo and Deputy SGR Leg. Vince Sy, together with Bro. Rhyan Mata, Bro. Johann Roldan, Bro. Hans Roldan, Bro. Lui Magno, Bro. Ramon β€œBong” Fernandez, and Bro. Oliver Vincent Vidal.

This warm reception reflects the true meaning of brotherhood that transcends borders, cultures, and distances. It is a reminder that wherever DeMolays may travel, they are never far from the bonds of friendship and fraternity that unite the Order worldwide.

The DeMolay International Session continues to serve as an important global assembly where leaders and members of the Order come together to strengthen relationships, exchange meaningful ideas, share experiences, and discuss the future of DeMolay. It is a venue where young men and mentors alike are inspired to continue building stronger chapters, better communities, and a deeper commitment to service.

On June 12, 2026, the Philippines marked a monumental milestone in its history, celebrating the 128th Philippine Independence Day. As the nation paused to reflect on the profound sacrifices of the heroes who secured the country's freedom, DeMolay Philippines joined the millions of Filipinos in a resounding, nationwide display of pride, unity, and civic duty.

Recognizing that the youth are the hope of the motherland, the Order participated in simultaneous commemorative events held across the entire archipelago. From the bustling streets of Metro Manila to the vibrant provinces of Luzon, the island groups of Visayas, and the expansive landscapes of Mindanao, DeMolays stood together to honor the nation's historic milestone.

In the nation’s capital, the spirit of independence was felt deeply at the historic Grand Lodge of the Philippines. At exactly 8:00 AM, the solemn and inspiring Flag-Raising Ceremony commenced, setting a tone of reverence for the day.

The ceremony was a true testament to the strength of the Masonic family. The event was attended by a distinguished assembly of Dad Masons, active DeMolays, and the dedicated members of the Federated Mothers’ and Parents’ Club of the Philippines. Furthermore, the event saw the unified presence of the different Masonic youth organizations, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in a powerful display of fraternal solidarity.

As the Philippine flag was hoisted high and the notes of Lupang Hinirang echoed through the halls of the Grand Lodge, the attendees were reminded of the enduring legacy of the fraternity in nation-building, a legacy that dates back to the very founding of the Philippine republic.

Meanwhile, the fervor of patriotism echoed just as loudly in Northern Luzon. Proving that love for country transcends geographical boundaries, DeMolay Philippines led and joined the local Independence Day commemoration at the historic Rizal Park in Centro Poblacion, Ilagan City, Isabela.

This provincial celebration was graced by the highest leadership of the Order in the region. In attendance were the Grand Line Officers of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines, alongside the esteemed members of the DeMolay National Congress and the Grand Priory Officers. Their presence in Isabela sent a clear and motivating message to the local chapters and the community: the brotherhood is nationwide, and its commitment to civic duty reaches every corner of the country.

While the events in Manila and Isabela served as flagship gatherings, the true scale of the celebration was seen in the simultaneous activities held by local chapters, jurisdictions, and priories across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

From the northernmost towns of Ilocos and Cagayan down to the southern islands of Mindanao, DeMolays organized their own local flag-raisings, community clean-ups, and historical wreath-laying ceremonies. In the Visayas, chapters joined their local government units in parades and civic drives, ensuring that the spirit of June 12 was felt in every city and municipality.

This massive, coordinated effort proved that the principles of DeMolay are not confined to the metropolis or regional centers. The brotherhood is truly nationwide, and its commitment to civic duty is woven into the very fabric of local communities across the three major island groups.

Across these different locations, DeMolays stood in absolute unity with the nation. They gathered not merely to observe a historical holiday, but to actively honor the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our forefathers.

For a DeMolay, Independence Day is more than a date on the calendar; it is a profound reminder of the Order’s core teachings. As members of this premier youth organization, young men are called to look beyond themselves and recognize their duties to their country.

This commemoration challenges every DeMolay to continue to live by the Cardinal Virtue of Patriotism. But what does patriotism mean in the modern era? It means more than just waving a flag or singing the national anthem. True patriotism is an active, daily practice. It is found in:

Honor: Upholding the truth, respecting the law, and being a citizen of integrity.

Leadership: Taking the initiative to solve community problems and guiding peers toward positive, nation-building actions.

Fidelity: Remaining loyal to the Philippines, defending its sovereignty, and preserving its rich culture and heritage for the next generation.

The 128th Independence Day serves as a bridge between the glorious past and the promising future. The heroes of 1898 gave their lives so that the youth of 2026 could live in a free and sovereign nation. In return, DeMolay Philippines pledges to be worthy of that sacrifice.

Through continuous community service, leadership development, and moral uprightness, the young men of the Order from Luzon to Visayas and Mindanao will ensure that the flame of Philippine independence continues to burn brightly. They stand ready to uphold their duty to serve the country, transforming the ideals of the past into the tangible progress of the future.

As the echoes of the celebrations fade and the Philippine flag continues to wave proudly against the sky, the commitment of DeMolay Philippines remains steadfast. We are the youth. We are the future. We are the proud sons of a free nation.

Visayas Jurisdictional Conclave 2026

The Visayas Jurisdictional Conclave 2026 was successfully held from June 5–7, 2026, at Mambukal Resort and Spa in Murcia, Negros Occidental, bringing together DeMolays, Alumni, Mothers, and supporters from across the Visayas for a meaningful weekend of fellowship, leadership development, and brotherhood.

The event welcomed 73 Active DeMolays and a total of 102 attendees representing chapters from Cebu, Tacloban, Bohol, Iloilo, Dumaguete, Antique, and Bacolod. The gathering served as an opportunity for members to strengthen friendships, exchange ideas, and reaffirm their commitment to the principles and values of the Order of DeMolay.

A highlight of the conclave was the presence of Grand Master Hon. Albert V. Manlulu, whose attendance underscored the importance of fostering unity and growth among DeMolays throughout the Visayas. He was joined by members of the DeMolay National Congress and the Grand Priory of the Philippines, demonstrating their continued support for the development of young leaders and the advancement of the Order.

Throughout the three-day event, participants engaged in various activities designed to promote leadership, teamwork, and camaraderie. The Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines, formally announces the celebration of Eighty (80) Years of DeMolay Presence in the Philippines, to be held on March 21, 2026, in Cebu City.

DeMolay was instituted in the Philippines on March 23, 1946, with the establishment of Jose Abad Santos Chapter No. 1 in Luzon, the first DeMolay Chapter in Asia. This milestone celebration, hosted by the Supreme Council in partnership with DeMolay Cebu, will gather DeMolay members and alumni from the Philippines and abroad in commemoration of our enduring legacy of leadership, service, and brotherhood.

Further details shall be disseminated through an official circular from the Supreme Council in due course.
