The organization embodies the belief that we can convert dreams of a better future into a reality. We all have dreams when we are young: dreams of becoming a professional athlete, a teacher or a doctor; dreams of living a life of lux
ury and traveling the world to see the sights. Yet there are others who simply dream of taking care of their families, of giving back to their community and of a promising future. Yes, there will be those lucky ones who do fulfill their childhood dreams and move onto bigger and better ones. However in the Philippines,it is not as easy for the majority of its people who have neither the opportunity nor the resources to fulfill even the simplest of their dreams. Dream Big Pilipinas seeks to provide the opportunity for children in need by:
Encouraging them to dream
Instilling in them the belief that they can accomplish anything
Providing them with the necessary skills to fulfill their dreams;
Dream Big Pilipinas currently works with three villages in Mandaluyong (Barangay Buayang Bato, Welfareville Compound and Barangka Drive) where we provide academic assistance through regular tutorials and grade monitoring. We also provide athletic training for the children through regular practices and tournaments for basketball, football and other sports. We believe that both the academic and athletic aspects of our program help develop a well rounded background. This in turn will serve as a medium for the kids to learn important life skills that will help them on the road to fulfilling their dreams. In addition to our support programs, we also provide high school and university scholarship placement support to deserving children who have exhibited leadership skills as well as have made significant contributions to their community.
