AKSES SA HUSTISYA | A Legal Mission

A Legal Mission in partnership with the IBP Bulacan SJDM Chapter was conducted on April 30, 2026, at Barangay Paradise III, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines.

Dubbed “AKSES SA HUSTISYA,” the activity provided free legal consultation and notarization of simple documents for parents, teaching and non-teaching personnel, in collaboration with DepEd San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the initiative served a total of 37 residents, bringing essential legal services closer to the community.

The activity was attended by 15 lawyers, including Atty. Gemma P. Capupus, JRCLS – Philippines Area Northern Luzon Chapter Service Chair, exemplifying a shared commitment to public service and access to justice.

The event was conducted with the support of Brgy. Chairperson Gloria D. Cardona.

Bringing the law closer to the people, one community at a time.

Strengthening Partnerships with the Legal Academe in Iloilo City

On 15 April 2026, the JRCLS Philippines Area Leadership, together with the JRCLS Visayas Chapter Officers, conducted a courtesy call with the Dean and Assistant Dean of the College of Law of the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City, fostering meaningful collaboration with the legal academe. The delegation was graciously received by Dean Atty. Jose Mari Benjamin Francisco U. Tirol (Jose Mari Uriondo Tirol) and Assistant Dean Atty. Cirilo Yuro Jr., marking a significant step toward strengthening partnerships in legal education and service.

The engagement reflects a shared commitment to advancing faith-based legal principles and building bridges between practitioners and future members of the legal profession. There is much anticipation for the work ahead as these partnerships continue to develop.

The visit concluded with a fellowship dinner in Iloilo City, where JRCLS Philippines Area Leaders and Visayas Chapter leaders gathered to further strengthen unity and camaraderie within the organization.

An evening of purpose, service, and meaningful connections.

The J. Reuben Clark Law Society – Philippines Visayas Chapter gathered for a Meet & Greet Dinner with the Office of General Counsel and the Area Leadership Team at Arima Restaurant, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod on 14 April 2026.

The evening was marked by the awarding of the Philippines Franklin S. Richards Pro Bono Service Award to Atty. Ben Candari, and by a renewed commitment to strengthen collaboration with the OGC in advancing efforts on the correction of simulated birth certificates and nullity of marriage.

The event likewise marked the welcoming of new members from Iloilo and Bacolod, with sincere appreciation extended to Atty. Shaira Kaye Gonzaga (Visayas Chapter Chair-Elect) for organizing a well-curated and meaningful evening.

JRCLS – Philippines Area Conducts Bacolod Temple Open House Special Tour

The J. Reuben Clark Law Society (JRCLS) – Philippines Area successfully conducted a meaningful and faith-centered activity through the Bacolod Philippines Temple Open House Special Tour, gathering members of the legal community for a unique experience of reverence, reflection, and fellowship.

The open house tour allowed participants to visit the Bacolod Philippines Temple and gain a deeper understanding of its sacred purpose. It served as an opportunity to reflect on the shared values of integrity, service, and moral responsibility—principles that resonate deeply within both the legal profession and faith-based living.

The activity was graced by esteemed leaders and members of the JRCLS and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), whose presence underscored the importance of strengthening faith-centered connections among legal professionals.
