The PUP Model Congress is an annual legislative simulation of the Philippine House of Representatives organized by the PUP House of Parliamentarians (PUPHOP) & the Circle of Public Administration and Governance Students (CPAGS). It is a weeklong event where students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, especially students taking Parliamentary Practice and Procedures, showcased their p

arliamentary skills in drafting and creating bills, debating, lobbying, and other processes that are included in the legislative process.

𝘿𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙎, 𝙈𝙀𝙀𝙏 𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙃𝙊𝙉𝙊𝙍𝘼𝘽𝙇𝙀 𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙀𝙍! 👩‍⚖️

The last day of the 8th PUP Model Congress is finally upon us, and to make things even better, we proudly introduce our guest speaker for the final plenary session!

Clapping is now in order for 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐨, representative of the Gabriela Women’s Party in the 20th Congress. She champions the rights of marginalized women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community. Hon. Elago has also authored 23 national laws under her term as partylist representative of Kabataan, as well as key proposed measures that ensure the rights and welfare of women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community.

We hope her presence at our plenary will remind us why we continue to go beyond the barriers of youth legislation!
