𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗣 📷

The FEU HS HUMSS Society welcomed incoming and aspiring Tamaraws during the 𝗙𝗘𝗨 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 last 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟭 through an interactive booth at 𝗡𝗕 𝟲𝟬𝟳.

Featuring the classic Filipino game sipa and a mini freedom wall activity, the organization gave participants a glimpse of the essence of being a HumanisTam— cultivating a strong sense of nationhood.

The school also introduced the restructuring of the Humanities and Social Sciences strand as the 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗛) during the program, in line with the strengthened senior high school program of the Department of Education.

Congratulations to the Tamaraws who excelled and participated in the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗔: 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮, held last March 31, 2026, via MS Teams.

Sa mahabang panahon, ang sining at kasaysayan ay tila pinilit tayong maniwala na ang babae ay tagamasid lamang. Ngunit kung susuriin ang bawat hibla ng ating pambansang pagkakakilanlan, malinaw na kababaihan ang ilan sa mga pinakamapangahas na tagapagkulay nito. Nariyan ang mga comfort women noong Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig na, sa kabila ng karahasang dinanas, ay patuloy na lumaban para sa pagkilala at hustisya. Nariyan ang tapang ni Gabriela Silang, na hindi lamang sumunod sa yapak ng kanyang asawa kundi naglatag ng sarili niyang landas bilang pinuno. At sa makabagong panahon, makikita ang parehong diwa sa mga kababaihang patuloy na lumalaban—sa lansangan, sa korte, sa paaralan, at maging sa digital na espasyo—upang igiit ang kanilang karapatan at dignidad.

Bilang mga mag-aaral ng Humanidades at Agham Panlipunan, kinikilala naming ang lipunan ay isang patuloy na hinuhubog na espasyo kung saan ang mga “gender roles” ay hindi dapat nagsisilbing hangganan, kundi hamon na dapat lampasan. Sa kasalukuyang panahon, 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻—𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮. Mula sa mga gurong humuhubog ng kritikal na kaisipan, sa mga manggagawang bumubuhay sa ekonomiya, hanggang sa mga lider at aktibistang nagsusulong ng pagbabago—ang kababaihan ay hindi lamang kalahok, kundi pangunahing puwersa sa pag-unlad ng lipunan.

Sa gitna ng digital age, kung saan ang boses ay maaaring palakasin o patahimikin sa isang pindot, mas nagiging mahalaga ang pagiging mulat at mapanuri. 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗱—𝘀𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼. Ngayong ika-31 ng Marso, ang ating pagdiriwang ay hindi lamang paggunita, kundi paninindigan. Hindi ito pagtatapos ng laban, kundi pagpapatuloy ng isang kilusang matagal nang isinusulong ng iba’t ibang henerasyon ng kababaihan. Bilang bahagi ng FEU High School HUMSS Society, binibigyang-pugay namin ang bawat kabataang Filipina na patuloy na lumalampas sa inaasahan, sumisira sa mga limitasyon, at lumilikha ng sariling landas—sa loob at labas ng silid-aralan.

Ang babae ay hindi lamang larawan sa isang pader. Siya ang pintor, iskultor, at arkitekto ng sariling kapalaran. Ang kanyang pagbangon, pakikibaka, at paglikha ang tunay na anyo ng sining na nagbibigay-buhay sa ating kasaysayan at kinabukasan.

Brimming with soulful expressions, the 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗔: 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 showcased a variety of artworks and brilliant creations 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝘽 𝘼𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙪𝙢 last Thursday, March 19, 2026.

From necessities to accessories, every corner pulsed with artistry and innovation—𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙟𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙧𝙮, 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨, 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙨, 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 fueled the bazaar with boundless creativity and ideas.

The pursuit of artistic endeavors and the preservation of spaces for craft 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙛𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙚, reminding us of the warmth and wonder that are so often overlooked.

𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐀: 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 | 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝: 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵.

Last Thursday, March 19, the Cinemalaya documentary 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 had a special screening as part of 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗔: 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 at the FEU ENB Mini Auditorium.

Curiosity was planted, stories branched out, and insights were harvested during the talkback featuring the filmmakers themselves: 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗣𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲.

The documentary follows three land rights activists navigating their roots in Cagayan Valley, paving their paths amidst persecution, displacement, and loss. Their notions of home are questioned, redefining 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩, 𝙧𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜.
