--Anwar Sadek, SBU CPath Student-Scholar

𝘚𝘢𝘯 𝘉𝘦𝘥𝘢 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺, as one of the members and Treasurer of Pathways Pilipinas, attended the opening of the exhibit today, July 21, 2026, dubbed 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦: 𝘈 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 at the Ayala Museum in Makati City. Organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs, along with the Department of Justice and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the celebration commemorates the Philippines' 75th Anniversary of the Adoption of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and the 45th Anniversary of Accession to the Convention.

As an implementing educational institution of the Complementary Pathways (CPath) Programme, San Beda University is committed to expanding access to tertiary education for Rohingya students by providing scholarship grants to five CPath student-scholars. The University also collaborates with partner organizations, including the San Beda College Alumni Foundation and the Asia Community Foundation, to ensure that these scholars receive the academic, financial, and other necessary support throughout their studies.

One of the scholars, Anwar Sadek, a fourth-year Information Technology student, shared his story of resilience, perseverance, and hope—a testament to the life-changing impact of the Philippines' humanitarian initiatives, such as the Complementary Pathways (CPath) Programme. He thanked the different institutions that paved the way for the CPath programme, which gives hope and creates opportunities that will harness their potential to become professional, future leaders, and not just a burden. Anwar emphasized that refugees have dreams, and their dreams are worth fighting for.

Below is the complete message shared by Anwar Sadek, reflecting his journey of resilience, perseverance, and hope.
