After collective reflection and consultation within the executives and alumni, the organization has decided ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑโ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ. This means that formal operations as a university-recognized student organization will pause for the remainder of the school year.
This decision was reached through thoughtful consideration of the organizationโs sustainability and the well-being of those who lead and support it. It comes after months of navigating structural and institutional challenges that have made it increasingly difficult to sustain the organization in a way that is ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ. While challenges are an inevitable part of advocating, we recognize that choosing to rest can also be an act of strength and preservation, one that honors both our mission and our people.

Moving forward, the Executives and Pioneers, in their personal capacities and in keeping with our principles and advocacy, will go beyond the walls of Intramuros to form a gender-advocacy group. Independent from institutional structures.
We will honor the month of May as the founding month of Layasari, and we will continue our tradition of ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ, including our annual participation in the QC Pride Festival, ๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ.
Structures may change, but our identity does not. Our members remain Layasari members for life, and our commitment to advocacy, visibility, and solidarity continues beyond campus walls.
In the coming days, we will also be releasing details regarding the ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐, in recognition that the full year of organizational programming promised cannot be fully delivered. This is part of our commitment to integrity, accountability, and respect for the trust our members placed in us.
