Thank you to each and everyone of you for being here with us today. We are very pleased to be able to welcome those of you that have been with us for a long time now as well as those who are new to the organization.

Today marks our 9th annual general assembly and we are proud to be able to host it despite the challenges.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you who generously helped us make this event come together to become a success. To the entire BOT, past and present, specially to ma’am Gigi Ocampo. We couldn’t have done it without you.

In today’s gathering, I would like to focus on all our new members who have joined us since 2020. You chose to be a part of our organization due to mutual passion for ARTDEC’s vision/mission - that which is to provide art and design educators with opportunities for professional development and networking with fellow academicians as well as with practitioners in the creative industry. Your passions help us all unite and the energy we create is what allows us to achieve our individual as well as group goals. We need you and that is why we are grateful to have you join us.

During the next few months, you will be learning about different initiatives through our planned activities, seminar and special events where you will be able to join in and get hands on experiences. I hope these will help you grow to be more productive in your respective field of expertise.

for the trials that come my way.
In that way I can grow each day
As I let you lead,
And thank you, Lord,
for the patience those trials bring.
In that process of growing,
I can learn to care.

But it goes against the way
I am to put my human nature down
and let the spirit take control of all I do.

‘Cause when those trials come,
my human nature shouts the thing to do;
and God’s soft prompting
can be easily ignored.
