Mapagpalayang Araw, Pilipinas! 🇵🇭

Isang daan at dalawpu't limang taon na simula noong tayo ay nakalaya sa kamay ng mga banyaga. Ngayong araw ng kalayaan ay nais naming alalahanin ang ating mga bayani noon na nagsakripisyo at lumaban para sa bayan. Marami pa ring makabagong bayani katulad nila Andres Bonificio at Jose Rizal na patuloy lumalaban para sa ating karapatan at isulong ang tunay na kalayaan.

Malaya nga tayo sa pamumuno ng banyaga, ngunit nakakulong at nagdurusa pa rin ang marami sa atin sa selda ng kahirapan, korapsyon at pangaabuso sa ating karapatang pantao na dulot ng kapabayaan at kalabisan ng mga ganid sa kapangyarihan. Mailap pa rin ang hustisya at kalayaan para sa mga nasa laylayan ng lipunan. Ang mga nagsasalita ng katotohanan ay binubusalan sa kabila ng ating karapatang magpahayag. Wala pa ring pantay at inklusibong oportunidad para sa ating mga manggagawa, magsasaka at mangingisda dahil salat na nga sa oportunidad ay ninanakawan pa sa kanilanh sariling lupa at karagatan. Malaya nga tayo ngunit nasisindak at nagpapailalim pa rin sa makapangyarihang bansa gaya ng China.

Ang Youth Advocates for Sustainable Development Goals ay naniniwala na hindi pa tapos ang ating laban para sa tunay na kalayaan lalo na at maraming banta na maaaring kumitil sa ating kalayaan. Hindi lamang pagiging malaya sa kamay ng dayuhan ang kalayaan. Minsan ang kalayaan ay pagiging malaya mula sa kahirapan at korapsyon para magkaroon tayo ng laya sa pagpili at pagkakaroom ng magandang edukasyon, maayos na healthcare system, at hustisya para sa lahat.

Ang tunay na kalayaan ay mananatiling pangarap lamang kung mananatili tayong p**i, bulag at bingi sa tunay na estado ng ating inang bayan at kaniyang mga anak. Pagmulat ang unang hakbang patungo sa kalayaan kaya ang namulat ay hindi na muling p**ikit.

Tanggap kita! 🫂🌈

Pride Month is beyond a celebration, it is a movement towards the acceptance of the diverse s*xual orientations and gender identities, and it is also a platform for the promotion of gender equality.

As we celebrate every color of the rainbow, we strongly support and stand with the LGBTQIA+ Community as we fight for the safe spaces and gender equality we all deserve. With that, it is about time to pass the SOGIE Equality Bill so we can assure a safe space free from all forms of discrimination on the basis of s*xual orientation, gender identity, expression and s*x characteristics.

Let us also not forget our brothers and sisters in the community who have been a victim of gender based harassments, and other crimes like Jeniffer Laude. Let us give them the justice they deserve by assuring that it would not happen again. So,we urge our policymakers to create more policies that truly protect and uphold the rights and welfare of the LGBTQIA+ Community.

Gender equality is vital in the advancement of an inclusive and sustainable nation, so let's keep on slaying towards gender equality that we all deserve.
