Explore the behavior, degradation, and simulation of composite materials, starting from 3D printing and extending to conventional aerospace-grade manufacturing.
This multi-session technical seminar is designed for students, researchers, and engineers interested in composite materials, additive manufacturing, and simulation-based analysis. Topics include anisotropy, process-property relationships, process-induced degradation, and modeling techniques beyond the Finite Element Method (FEM), such as the Spring Element Model (SEM).
📅 Seminar Schedule:
📍 Part 1: Overview and Fabrication – October 25
📍 Part 2: Process-Induced Degradation – November 15
📍 Part 3: Simulation – December 6
👨🏫 Speaker: Engr. John Gabriel Decena
📍 Vice President - FEIP
📍 Researcher / PhD Student - Department of Aerospace Engineering, Tohoku University
