The College of International Relations Student Government (CIR-SG) observes the 81st Anniversary of the End of World War II in the Pacific, honoring the sacrifices that shaped our modern international system.

This defining moment gave rise to modern diplomacy, multilateralism, and the rules-based order that safeguards global peace today. The post-war era underscores the transformative power of reconciliation, seen in the enduring bilateral friendship and strategic partnership between the Philippines and Japan.

As future diplomats, we remain dedicated to promoting peaceful dialogue, upholding international law, and advancing global cooperation.

Heroes are not just etched in marble or written in historical treaties. They live in the collective strength of a nation that refuses to back down.

This National Heroes Day, the College of International Relations Student Government honors the brave souls who fought for our sovereignty, freedom, and identity. From the revolutionaries who raised their voices against oppression to the modern-day diplomats, frontline workers, and ordinary Filipinos shaping our nationโ€™s standing on the global stageโ€”your courage remains our guiding light.

As students of international relations, diplomacy, and global affairs, we carry the duty to keep this spirit alive. True heroism isn't just about grand historical moments; it's found in standing up for justice, defending human rights, and using our voices to advocate for our country wherever we go.

Today, we honor the past by actively building the future. Let us draw strength from our collective roots and continue moving forward, united as one sambayanan.
