Today, August 8, 2026, the College of International Relations joins the entire region in celebrating the 59th Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

This milestone carries special significance as the Philippines takes center stage as ASEAN Chair for 2026. Under the overarching theme, "𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧," our nation leads the effort to strengthen regional solidarity, drive sustainable growth, and champion diplomatic cooperation across Southeast Asia.

As aspiring diplomats and foreign service practitioners, CIR students take pride in supporting our country's leadership in shaping a resilient and forward-looking ASEAN community.

Following the announcement of the City Government of Manila, all classes will shift to an online synchronous modality on Saturday, August 8, 2026, due to inclement weather.

Students are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members for class instructions.

The Face-to-face Conference (FFC) for Graduate School students tomorrow will push through as scheduled.

University offices will observe regular operating hours.

The long wait is officially over, CIR! As the calendar flips to August 3, 2026, campus doors are wide open to welcome everyone back for Academic Year 2026–2027!

To our incoming freshies: welcome to the family! And to our seniors stepping into their final year: take a deep breath. From surviving comprehensive works and internship hunts to powering through back-to-back requirements, you have made it this far. Make this last lap count, leave your mark, and finish strong.

July set the tone for the year ahead as the College of International Relations officially kicked off the new term. From diplomatic discussions and leadership training to welcoming our incoming freshmen, this past month was all about laying a strong foundation for representation, student involvement, and proactive governance.

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄, 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃

Student leaders and representatives from the recognized student organizations (RSOs) of the College of International Relations gathered for the annual RSO Leadership Training, which culminated in the official renewal and swearing-in of the incoming student leaders for the new academic year.

The training focused on organizational management, administrative efficiency, and leadership excellence, equipping student officers with the necessary tools to serve the CIR community effectively. During the solemn oath-taking ceremony, the newly appointed officers formally pledged their dedication to fostering student representation, academic integrity, and proactive governance.

With a renewed mandate, the CIR student organizations are ready to lead, serve, and drive meaningful initiatives for the student body.

Student leaders from the College of International Relations Student Government (CIR-SG), Foreign Service Club (FSC), and LPU Project for Asian and International Relations (LPU PAIR) officially welcomed the incoming International Relations freshmen during their orientation on 29 July 2026.

The orientation served as an introduction to college life, organizational opportunities, and the vibrant academic community that awaits the new batch of diplomacy and global affairs enthusiasts.

As the new academic year begins, the student leadership is fully committed to guiding, supporting, and empowering our incoming freshmen as they embark on their journey in international relations.
