π Wednesdays in SPACE π
Welcome to the Human-X Interactions Laboratory (HXIL) of DLSU CCSβwhere we explore the future of human-technology interaction beyond screens and keyboards. As part of the Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing, and Networking, HXIL investigates how emerging technologies like XR, robotics, drones, and AI shape the way we live, learn, and create.
π One of our flagship initiatives is the SPACE AgendaβSpatial, Pervasive, Augmented, and Creative Experiences. Led by DST Faculty Jordan Aiko Deja, this research program explores how we design, develop, and evaluate interfaces that help people better understand themselves and their environments.
π§ The SPACE Agenda is guided by big questions like:
How do people live, learn, work, and interact in spatial environments?
How do we balance and boost productivity in such spaces?
How can we support creative experiences that thrive in social and augmented contexts?
β¨ Starting this week, weβll be featuring one project every Wednesday, each tackling these questions in unique ways:
πΉ How do we teach blues improvisation using projection mapping on piano rolls?
πΌ How can XR enable experiential learning in jazz improvisation?
𧱠Can augmented tangible blocks help novices grasp CS concepts like pointers?
πΌοΈ Can interactive XR murals enhance spatial, visual, and textual recall?
π How do we manage information density in XR lessons on textile frame weaving?
π How can XR support collaborative sensemaking in flood emergency planning?
π€ How can robots and grasp-based gestures enable playful visual storytelling?
Follow us every as we spotlight the ideas, technologies, and people behind these questions.
