Bogtong National High School proudly participated in the SDO I Pangasinan DRRM Convergence 2025, under the theme
“Empowering Learners, Uniting Partners,” which was held last September 2, 2025 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center, Lingayen.

Led by our YES-O District President, Kristine Joy T. Perez, together with our YES-O Adviser, Ma’am Joan M. Bautista, we joined fellow SSLG and YES-O Presidents from different districts to gain valuable insights on disaster preparedness, climate change adaptation, road safety, and emergency response.

Truly, this convergence reminded us that resilience thrives when learners and leaders unite for a stronger and safer community. 💡🤝

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) of Bogtong National High School stands together in solidarity to commemorate Earth Day 2024, a day that symbolizes our collective commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. Our planet is at a critical juncture, facing challenges that include climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. These issues threaten not only our environment but our future. Today, we pledge to take action, not just in words but through meaningful deeds, to contribute to the healing of our planet.

The YES-O recognizes the power of collective action and the difference it can make in creating a healthier, more sustainable world. To this end, we commit to organizing and participating in activities that promote environmental awareness, from recycling programs and tree planting initiatives to educational workshops and community clean-up efforts. We believe that by working together, we can inspire change and make a lasting impact.

In observance of Plastic-Free Friday, the YES-O, BKD, and SSLG Officers of Bogtong National High School conducted a joint Clean-Up Drive to collect plastic wastes in the school grounds. The joint Clean-Up Drive were overseen by the three club advisers: Ms. Mary Angelique L. Cabal (YES-O), Mr. Leonell B. Viduya (BKD), and Ms. Alisha O. Metiam(SSLG).

Plastic-Free Friday is a school-based proper waste management advocacy to help lessen the accumulated single-use plastic wastes in school and help promote proper waste management. This advocacy is anchored on DepEd’s core value - Makakalikasan.
