We were highly honored by the visit of the Consulate General of Japan in Cebu, represented by Consul General Yudai Ueno and Mr. Renato Vingno! 🇯🇵🤝🇵🇭

We spent an inspiring moments presenting our core missions and grassroots projects—from our youth leadership exchange programs and zero-waste advocacy (ZWAP) to our fair-trade upcycling livelihoods supporting local artisans in Iloilo City.

Having the support of the Consulate General fuels our passion to keep bridging cultures, empowering future leaders, and creating sustainable communities! ♻️✨

Thank you very much, Consul General Yudai Ueno and Mr. Renato Vingno, for walking alongside us. 💙🚀

We hit an incredible milestone today with the official Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing and a grand Ribbon-Cutting ceremony to mark the highly anticipated launch of our new Mobile Van Library. This beautiful project, designed to bring the joy of reading and vital literacy support directly to local schools, has officially been set in motion through our collaborative partnership with the Schools Division Superintendent of Iloilo City. 🤩✨

We are deeply honored to have had our esteemed partners and designated signatories present to finalize this agreement: Dr. Jerry P. Grozen representing Balantang Elementary School, Dr. Raymond Peter T. Tolentino of Iloilo River Plains Integrated School and Dr. Dymphna Leizel G. Jocson representing the Public Schools District Supervisor Office for District IV-A Jaro, and John Horatius G. Loot signing on behalf of NGO LOOB Inc. ✨🥳

With the cutting of the ribbon, the Mobile Van Library is officially on the move and ready to travel, delivering books, interactive learning opportunities, and endless dreams directly to students in our communities. This joint effort beautifully highlights our shared and steadfast commitment to "Education for the Kids"—empowering young learners, strengthening foundational knowledge, and making reading accessible to every child here in Iloilo City.📚

A productive day of building bridges for a sustainable future! 🍃♻️

Today, NGO LOOB had a brief meeting with Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas to discuss our programs and future collaborations. We are thrilled by her strong support for initiatives centered on community livelihoods and the circular economy! ♻️💼

Next, we met with the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) Laboratory School to plot out upcoming partnerships focused on empowering youth through meaningful intercultural exchanges. 🌏✨

Stay tuned for LOOB's upcoming programs and initiatives as we continue working hand in hand with our partners to create meaningful opportunities, strengthen communities, and drive positive, sustainable change. Together, we can build a more inclusive and resilient future! 💚🌱

Meet our Dynamic Interns! 🌟🚀

Let’s give a big, warm LOOB family embrace to our two incredible interns who arrived this June! Both Hana and Yuma have already shown immense dedication, passion, and hard work in everything they do, and we are so proud to have them in the family!✨

📌Meet Hana!
Born in the Philippines, Hana is a fierce and dedicated advocate for the environment! She is currently pursuing her studies at Soka University of America. Hana will be with us until July 21, and she is ready to keep channeling her energy into our local eco-initiatives and youth leadership activities!

📌Meet Yuma!
Born to a Japanese father and a Filipina mother, Yuma beautifully bridges both cultures! He is deeply interested in project management and structural organization, currently taking up a BA in International Studies at Far Eastern University. Yuma’s internship runs until July 8, so let's make sure to maximize our time with him before he heads out!

We are so grateful for the outstanding hard work and heart they’ve poured into the LOOB youth programs this season. Be sure to show them some love, ask them about their journeys, and say your warm goodbyes to Yuma in the coming days! 💙✨

Before wrapping up an incredible month, NGO LOOB family had the absolute honor of being invited to participate in two wonderful programs that perfectly reflect our love for culture, innovation, and environmental stewardship.

🎨🤖 First Stop: Cultivating Creativity at ILOMOCA
We immersed ourselves in the wonderful world of play at the 𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗖𝗛𝗔: 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 traveling exhibition by The Japan Foundation, Manila, hosted at the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA)! More than just a nostalgia trip, exploring over 70 iconic Japanese toys, collectibles, and characters gave us deep insights into how play, design, and innovation have shaped generations and global culture. Thank you for opening this creative window for our team!

🌱☕ Second Stop: Rooting for the Future in Igbaras
Taking our commitment to the mountains, we celebrated another major milestone as Pakiburak, our partner organization for the Panay Coffee Dream Project, together with the Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo, Suro-Suroy, and local farmers, held their 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆! Located at an elevation of 910 meters above sea level in Sitio Igbulo, Barangay Igcabugao, Igbaras, Iloilo, our team proudly planted Liberica, Robusta, and Arabica coffee seedlings. This isn’t just about putting trees in the ground; it’s about nurturing sustainable livelihood opportunities and practicing true environmental leadership alongside local communities.

From exploring the global influence of Japanese pop culture to nurturing the soil of our own province, we remain deeply grateful for the opportunities to learn, grow, and serve. Here’s to more steps toward a collaborative, sustainable future! 💙✨

Last Saturday, June 27, 2026, was nothing short of historic! Our NGO LOOB Youth General Assembly 2026 brought together our incredible Junior Leaders (JLs), interns, youth volunteers, and grantees under one roof at the DND Co-Working Space in Iloilo City. 🏢✨

As we deepened our understanding of LOOB’s mission, vision, and core leadership values, we grew into a powerful, unified movement driven by a shared purpose and commitment. 🤝

To cap off this momentous day and celebrate NGO LOOB’s 25th Anniversary, the entire LOOB Family—in active partnership with Oton MENRO—rolled up their sleeves and headed to Brgy. Alegre, Oton for a meaningful Beach Clean-Up! 🏖️🧤 Keeping our coastal communities clean is just one of the many ways our youth continue to step up as proactive stewards of the environment. 🌍💚

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Oton LGU and Oton MENRO for warm-heartedly accommodating us and for your continuous support of our youth initiatives. Most importantly, a huge thank you to everyone who showed up, connected, and brought their absolute passion to this event. 🙌✨

Here’s to building lasting connections and continuing the legacy of service for the next 25 years and beyond! 🔗💪

Strengthening partnerships for a GREENER and more SUSTAINABLE future! 🌱♻️

NGO LOOB recently participated in two significant coordination meetings that further advance our mission of environmental stewardship, zero-waste advocacy, and community livelihood development.

📍 On June 10, 2026, LOOB attended a coordination meeting with the Local Economic Development Investment and Promotion Office (LEDIPO), together with representatives from the General Services Office (GSO), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Barangay Affairs Office, and the SK Federation. The meeting focused on exploring future collaborations, shared environmental initiatives, and strategic plans to promote sustainable waste management and community empowerment in the city.

📍 LOOB also joined a productive meeting with the Oton LGU, alongside the Oton Entrepreneurs Association and Oton Women's Association, Inc. (KALIPI). Discussions centered on renewing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), strengthening existing partnerships, and expanding future programs to create greater impact for the community and a better livelihood for the people.

Together, we can create lasting change! One partnership at a time. 💚🌍
