As part of our commitment to reducing HIV-related stigma and discrimination, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Mandaue Wellness Lounge, continues to bring HIV services closer to the community. 💙

We integrate HIV testing into various City Health services, health caravans, and medical missions, helping normalize HIV testing as a routine part of taking care of one’s health.

Because knowing your status is an act of care, not a reason for stigma. 🫶

Let’s create a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to access HIV services—anytime, anywhere, without judgment.

More countries are introducing Lenacapavir as an HIV prevention option.

UNAIDS data shows that by the end of June 2026, over 50,000 people were accessing this long-acting prevention medicine across 9 sub-Saharan countries.

This is nowhere near enough. UNAIDS estimates that 20 million people are in need of long-acting prevention.

A successful validation activity was conducted today at Mandaue Wellness Lounge by Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines (SHIP) and Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) to assess the quality of services provided by the SHIP staff and the entire clinic team.

The validation served to ensure that established standards of care, service delivery, and program implementation are consistently met while identifying areas for continuous quality improvement.

Through activities like this, we continue to strengthen our commitment to providing safe, quality, and client-centered healthcare services for every individual we serve. 💙🤝

The DOH Central Visayas Center for Health Development is expected to receive 979,200 tablets or 32,640 bottles of Tenofovir/Lamivudine/Dolutegravir or TLD this July 2026.

TLD is the recommended first-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) for people living with HIV. It is highly effective in suppressing the viral load, helping people achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load with consistent treatment.
