MARCH 7, 2026 | In solemn tribute, officers of NAMO led by National Director, Auxiliary Vice Admiral Manolita T Faelnar PCGA, together with CGADCV officers headed by Auxiliary Commodore Bethlehem Holaysan PCGA, and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) officers of Central Visayas representing District Commander Rear Admiral Agapito Bibat PCG, paid their respects to the late Former District Director of the Auxiliary, Central Visayas, Auxiliary Commodore Ralph Yap PCGA.

His legacy of dedicated service and exemplary leadership will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Auxiliary Commodore Yap.

In solemn remembrance, the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary – Central Visayas extends our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Auxiliary Commodore Ralph Santillan Yap PCGA (January 3, 1952 – March 6, 2026), former Director Auxiliary District (DAD) of Coast Guard Auxiliary District Central Visayas.

His decades of dedicated service and leadership in the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary will always be remembered and honored by the organization and the community he faithfully served.

𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗖𝗚𝗔 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌿🌊🐚

The 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 officially initiated exploratory talks with the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 (𝗣𝗖𝗚𝗔) today, March 5, 2026, to establish collaborative efforts dedicated to 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

This landmark meeting focused on a shared commitment to mangrove conservation in Inayawan, laying the groundwork for scientific assessments and large-scale planting initiatives that bridge the gap between academic research and maritime service. Looking ahead, both organizations envision a roadmap that includes biodiversity assessments, community-driven reforestation, and long-term monitoring protocols — with plans to expand to other vulnerable coastal areas and build a model of science-backed, service-driven conservation that can inspire partnerships across the nation.

We were privileged to be joined by 𝗔𝗨𝗫 𝗟𝗧𝗦𝗚 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼, 𝗣𝗖𝗚𝗔, and 𝗔𝗨𝗫 𝗟𝗧𝗦𝗚 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗿., 𝗣𝗖𝗚𝗔, whose insights were invaluable.
