𝗨𝗖𝗦𝗠 - 𝗦𝗖, 𝗔𝗫𝗘 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗦𝗠𝗠𝗖’𝘀 ‘𝗔𝗱𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗮 𝗗𝘂𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱’ 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In recognition of their steadfast commitment to voluntary blood donation and lifesaving community initiatives, the University of Cebu School of Medicine Student Council (UCSM-Student Council) and Alpha Chi Sigma (AXE) received awards at the annual “Adlaw Pasalamat sa Dugong Halad,” on September 22, 2026, at the Sarrosa International Hotel in Cebu City.

Hosted by the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) through its Department of Pathology – Blood Services Unit, the
Adlaw Pasalamat sa Dugong Halad is an annual tribute to honor dedicated galloner donors and key institutional partners whose collaborative blood collection drives continue to save countless lives across the region.

Both the UCSM - Student Council and the AXE were commended for their active partnership with VSMMC, regular donation drives, and continued advocacy for voluntary blood donations.

The recognition underscores the vital role student-led medical and health organizations play in strengthening the regional blood supply and championing civic health initiatives across Cebu.

BOOKED FOR LIFE 2026 TURNOVER 📚

We are happy to share that the Booked For Life 2026 donation drive has officially come to a close!

From August 24 to September 25, we collected pre-loved books, school supplies, and learning materials through the generosity of our student body. Yesterday, all collected donations were successfully turned over to CIM’s Alpha Mu Sigma Phi, our partner for this initiative, who will be facilitating their turnover to the Rise Above Foundation.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, helped with the collection and preparation of the donations, and supported the initiative in any way, thank you! Your generosity and willingness to share made this drive possible. 💙
