The new batch of the Peer Support Group (PSG) from upland and lowland barangays in Cebu City continues to be committed to strengthening child protection efforts at the community level through successfully participating in a 2-Day Training on Child Safeguarding and Protection Laws.

Following the earlier Adventure-Based Camp, this training served as the next step in enhancing their knowledge and skills as young advocates. The activity focused on key topics such as Child Protection Laws, Child Safeguarding, and Anti-Trafficking in Persons (ATIP) laws. They gained a deeper understanding of identifying warning signs or red flags and learned appropriate responses to child protection concerns within their communities. Through interactive discussions and shared experiences, they have strengthened their confidence, awareness, and commitment to protecting children.

Together, we continue to empower youth leaders who are committed to building safer and more protective communities for children.

A meaningful partnership has been forged!

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) met with Bidlisiw Foundation to strengthen support for children and adolescents affected by drug dependency. While MADAC continues to provide holistic recovery programs for adults through the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP), this new collaboration aims to address the unique developmental, psychosocial, and protection needs of minor clients referred by the MSWDO.

Together, we are committed to building a more responsive and child-sensitive rehabilitation program for our young ones. đź’™

The Peer Support Group (PSG) from upland and lowland barangays in Cebu City successfully participated in a 3-Day Adventure-Based Camp Training on Children’s Rights Leadership. The activity marked the beginning of the new batch of PSG, a youth-led initiative to support and empower children and communities across the project areas. Through fun and meaningful outdoor activities, team-building exercises, and leadership sessions, they learned more about children’s rights, teamwork, communication, and the importance of becoming active leaders in their communities.

The camp became a safe and inspiring space where they were encouraged to express themselves, build friendships, and strengthen their confidence as young advocates. It was also heartwarming to see PSG members from earlier batches serve as facilitators, sharing their experiences and guiding the new batch throughout the activity with the support of the project staff and invited facilitators. Together, we continue to nurture empowered children and youth leaders who can create positive change in their communities.
