Senior High School C.A.R.E.S. is a foundation of volunteerism and perseverance. It is an organization where leadership and resilience is tested, and yet, these brilliant individuals rose to the challenge with unwavering dedication.
As a Grade 11 student who just entered this huge university, completely unfamiliar with every pasikot-sikot of this community, I never realized how difficult it was to be an officer in a school this big. It was a risk, a challenge โ but one I will never regret taking. Because in serving, we found purpose, a family, and a place to belong.
And none of this would have been possible without the careful and meticulous guidance of our Grade 12 CARES officers. You were the ones who helped us stand tall, believe in ourselves, and face every difficulty head-on. You were our kuyates โ always there to lift us up, push us harder, and sometimes scold us, only for us to realize later that those words shaped us into who we are now.
Now that youโre leaving the nest, this family wonโt be the same. As Charles Pahayahay, our Grade 11 PM Representative, once said: โkamo akong greatest multoโ Because even if you wonโt be here physically, your presence will remain โ in every event we organize, in every CARES gathering, in every decision we make. Weโll always search for your lingering presence, miss the pangasaba, the laughter, and the lessons you left us with.
Your legacy will forever live in us. CARES will always be great because of your teachings, your love, and the sacrifices you made for this family.
To our seniorsโthank you for being the backbone of this organization, the chaos and the constant source of inspo. Your leadership, late-night hustle, and all-out energy turned every event, meeting, and moment into something unforgettable. Youโve left a legacy that hits differently, and while itโs hard to imagine next szn without you, weโre so proud to see you move on and glow up.
Thank you so much for all the guidance and support youโve given us, your Grade 11 juniors. Youโve truly inspired us, Ate and Kuya, by the way you lead the organization with compassion and perseverance. The lessons you shared will stay with us forever as we follow in your footsteps. We promise to keep the legacy alive and continue serving the community, just like our mission says: I CARE, YOU CARE, WE CARE, UC CARES. Wishing you all the best as you begin college. Weโll definitely miss you all!
I never expected to be part of CARES but joining this org turned out to be one of the best decisions Iโve made. I was immediately welcomed by the most amazing people who later became some of the closest friends I could ever ask for. What I thought would just be another org became a family Iโll always be grateful for. CARES gave me the chance to help others, make a difference, and grow with people who share the same heart.
To our seniorsโthank you for being more than just leaders. You were there when we doubted ourselves, reminding us of our purpose. You showed us what it means to lead with heart, to serve with purpose, and to care without limits. Thank you for the memories, the love, and the safe space you built for us. Wherever life takes you next, please know youโll always have a family waiting for you here. CARES wonโt ever be the same without you.
Thank you, Grade 12 CARES officers. For the family we built, for the memories weโll never forget, and for the lessons that will guide us even when youโre gone. Padayon on your new journey โ and know that the family you built will carry your name with pride.
