We pay tribute to our Blessed Mother today, whose compassion, fortitude, and faith continue to uplift us all. May she guide and shield every family in our community with her maternal care.

To all our amazing moms out there, and especially to the mothers in our parish community, thank you for your endless love, sacrifices, and unwavering devotion. Your presence is a blessing to your families and to the Church.

May God bless you always with joy, strength, and abundant grace.💐

𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 | 𝐒𝐓. 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓

Today, the Church honors Saint Mark the Evangelist, one of the four Gospel writers and a key figure in the early spread of Christianity. Known as the author of the shortest Gospel, Mark’s account of Jesus’ life is direct, vivid, and action-filled, reflecting the urgency of the Good News he proclaimed. Tradition also holds that he founded the Church in Alexandria, making him a pillar of the early Christian community beyond Jerusalem.

Often identified with John Mark in the Acts of the Apostles, he journeyed with Saint Paul the Apostle and Saint Barnabas, though not without struggles. A disagreement once caused him to part ways with Paul, showing that even the saints experienced conflict and growth. Yet this was not the end of his story—Mark later reconciled with Paul and became a trusted companion, a reminder that God continues to work through us despite our shortcomings.

Mark is also closely associated with Saint Peter, who regarded him as a spiritual son. Early Christian writers believed that Mark’s Gospel was based on Peter’s preaching, preserving the firsthand witness of one of Jesus’ closest disciples. His symbol, the lion—drawn from the visions in Book of Revelation—represents courage, strength, and the powerful voice of one crying out in the wilderness.

Though his life ended in Alexandria, his legacy continues across the Church, especially in Venice, where he is honored as patron saint. From missionary journeys to writing the Gospel, St. Mark shows us that proclaiming Christ can take many forms—through words, witness, and perseverance in faith.

𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 | 𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐈𝐔𝐒 𝐈

Today, the Church honors two early shepherds of the faith—Pope Saint Soter and Pope Saint Caius I. Pope Soter, known as the Pope of Charity, led the Church around 166 AD and became known for strengthening Christian practices, including recognizing marriage as a sacrament and establishing Easter as an annual celebration in Rome. Pope Caius I, who served from 283 to 296 AD, guided the Church during a time of relative peace before the final great persecutions of Rome, though little is reliably known about his early life.

Both popes helped shape the structure and life of the early Church in quiet but meaningful ways. Pope Soter stood out for his generosity, sending aid to Christians in need and offering encouragement like a loving father. Meanwhile, Pope Caius I contributed to Church order by establishing the progression of roles required before becoming a bishop and organizing the districts of Rome under deacons. Though once believed to be a martyr, it is now known that Pope Caius I died of natural causes, reminding us that holiness is not only found in dramatic sacrifice but also in faithful service.

Despite the limited historical records about their lives, their legacy remains through the foundations they helped build for the Church. From charity and compassion to order and leadership, Pope Saints Soter and Caius I show us that serving God can take many forms—whether through acts of kindness or guiding others in faith.

𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 | 𝐒𝐓. 𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐎

Today, the Church honors St. Agnes of Montepulciano, a Dominican nun known for her deep holiness, wisdom, and leadership even at a young age. Born in 1268 in Montepulciano, Italy, Agnes felt called to religious life early and entered a convent at just nine years old. Her strong faith and maturity set her apart, and by the age of fifteen, she was entrusted with the responsibility of becoming prioress of a new convent—an extraordinary role for someone so young.

Agnes later returned to her hometown, where she founded a Dominican convent and served as its abbess. She was known for her deep prayer life and mystical experiences, often receiving visions of Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and angels. Despite suffering from chronic illness, Agnes remained joyful and steadfast in her mission, guiding others with humility, charity, and wisdom.

Her life was marked by many miracles, both during her lifetime and after her death in 1317. Through her holiness and trust in God, she became a powerful witness of faith and perseverance, eventually being canonized in 1726 by Pope Benedict XIII. St. Agnes reminds us that age does not limit our ability to serve God. What matters is our willingness to say yes to His call with courage and love.

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

This Lenten season has been a quiet yet beautiful journey for all of us—a time of slowing down, reflecting, and walking together in faith. In simple yet meaningful ways, we reached out to others by visiting the sick, offering our prayers during the Visita Iglesia and Stations of the Cross, it is also amazing to bring the story of Christ’s love to life through the Living Via Crucis. In every step, in every act, we felt His presence guiding us.

We were truly blessed to be given the chance to lead and serve, especially as the working committee for the Living Via Crucis. It was not always easy, but it was filled with purpose. In our efforts, both big and small, we offered what we could—and God made it enough.

More than anything, this journey brought us closer—not only to God, but to one another. We became a community that listens, supports, and walks side by side, sharing both our strengths and our struggles.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who journeyed with us this Lenten season. Thank you for your time, your presence, your prayers, and your willingness to serve. Because of you, this Holy Week became more than just a tradition—it became a living experience of faith, hope, and love.

As we move forward, may we carry these simple but powerful moments in our hearts. May we continue to walk in faith, serve with love, and find God in the little things, every single day. 💜✨

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒

A night filled with reflection, prayer, laughter, and meaningful moments with the vincentian youth. This recollection reminded us to pause, reconnect with God, and strengthen our faith together in the midst of the struggles that we are facing.

Here are some of the highlights from our Youth Lenten Recollection held last yesterday, March 21 at the SRP Pastoral Center. Truly grateful for everyone who joined and made this experience memorable. May the lessons we learned continue to guide us in our daily lives.
