All the best to our Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) Batch 4 trainees!

Shannon lloro of Buhi, Camarines Sur; Jeremy Rubio and Mary Ann Gribialde of Mandaon, Masbate; and Kresta Mae Penano of Ligao City, Albay were personally met by ATI Directory Remelyn Recoter and ATI Deputy Director Antonieta Arceo for the Send-Off Ceremony prior to leaving the country on July 16 for their 11-month internship in Taiwan.

Congratulations Ms. Mary Ann Apues Gribialde and Jeremy Rubio , a member of TAGPU 4H CLUB , the two accepted intern from the province of masbate, Bicol region for the FYFIPT batch 4!

This refer to the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program In Taiwan (FYFIPT), a partnership program among the Department of Agriculture—Agricultural Training Institute, the Taiwan Economic Cultural office (TECO), and the manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) which aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers to become empowered farmer leaders and agricultural entrepreneurs.

The program aims to empower young Filipino farmers to become farmer leaders and agricultural entrepreneurs by providing intensive exposure to new techniques, technologies, and strategies through their internship in Taiwan.

50 interns from the different regions representing Philippines for the FYFIPT Batch 2024.

The Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) is on its 5th Batch!

ATI Bicol is in search for passionate and enthusiastic young Filipino farmers from Bicol Region who are willing to be trained on modern agricultural and fisheries techniques, marketing strategies, and cooperative management in a span of eleven (11) months in Taiwan.

The program is a partnership between the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO), together with ATI, through a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to enhance existing relations through the implementation of an internship program to qualified young Filipino farmers. The FYFIPT consists of the acquisition of skills and knowledge through the exchange of modern agricultural and fisheries techniques, marketing strategies and mechanisms, cooperative management, and enhancement of competencies, discipline, and values.

ATI Bicol is looking for 10 trainees and 5 farm partners in region 5 for the Youth Scholarship Grant on Organic Farming.

The Youth Scholarship Program on Organic Farming is a highly specialized internship program designed to instill and develop in the trainees an appreciation for organic agriculture (OA). Patterned after the internship program of the Korean Government wherein, there is 100% engagement of their scholars in agriculture sector after the training completion. The 21-month internship program for the youth aims to fully imbibe the “life of a farmer” and the organic practices. It comprises of 1) nine-month schooling and on-site training to the farm partners, and 2) one-year hands-on practice and implementation of proposed organic enterprise.

Interested applicants for farm partners and trainees may address their letter of intent to MS. ELSA A. PAROT, Training Center Superintendent II/Center Director. Submission of application can be done physically or via email.
