Medical Outreach for the Dumagat Remontado community.
The Dumagat Remontados are indigeneous people who chose to live in the mountains of Tanay, Rizal. The word Remontado was derived from a Spanish word for flee. Remontado is also a word attributed for their being mixed-blooded as they intermarried with the Negritos residing in the mountains.

Mount Daraitan and the Daraitan river became their source of sustenance and livelihood - they served as tourist guides to hikers who explore Mount Daraitan and the Tinipak River.
According to residents, the nearest hospital is a two-hour drive from their homes.

This activity was organized in partnership with Tribu Enerhiya thru Mr. Jireh de Oca. Tribu Enerhiya’s Legacy Project in Daraitan is to create a Youth Center to Empower the Youth of the Dumagat Remontado Tribe.
