The Lasallian Institute For the Environment (LIFE) extends its warmest congratulations to De La Salle Lipa on the successful launch of its Center for Sustainability and Impact (CSI).

The CSI marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainability through transformative initiatives in education, research, administration, extension services, environmental stewardship, social innovation, and community engagement. By fostering partnerships among the academe, government, industry, civil society, and local communities, the Center strengthens collective efforts toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), (De La Salle Lipa, 2026).

May this new Center continue to inspire collaboration, innovation, and lasting positive impact for communities and future generations. Congratulations, De La Salle Lipa!

โ€‹Today, we celebrate our coastal guardians. Mangroves are essential to our planet's health. They serve as vital biodiversity sanctuaries for countless creatures and act as natural barriers that absorb the immense impact of flooding. These incredible trees are also powerful carbon eaters, capable of storing four times as much carbon as a typical rainforest!

โ€‹Despite their massive benefits, mangroves only cover about 1% of the world's forests and are facing a rapid decline.

โ€‹We need to take action to protect them. You can help by supporting tree planting initiatives, volunteering to restore coastlines, and raising community awareness. Let us work together to protect these incredible ecosystems! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Earlier today, July 18, 2026, answering the call to care for our common home, our community came together today to turn our Lasallian purpose into action!

โ€‹We have successfully concluded our Joint Ecological Stewardship Initiative in Brgy. Sto Niรฑo, Tanay, Rizal. Together, we planted 500 seedlings of native and fruit-bearing trees, taking a tangible step toward ecological conversion and breathing new life into God's creation. This initiative proudly supports the One Million Trees and Beyond Program, reinforcing our lifelong commitment to environmental sustainability.
