Soon to be TB-free, that’s the future we look forward to!

As we work toward a healthier and TB-free community, we are grateful for the collaboration and support of the Mandaluyong City Health Department and Culion Foundation, Inc. in making our first TB Massive Detection Activity possible.

Through this initiative, our sponsored families had access to TB screening, free chest X-rays, and a health seminar, helping raise awareness, encourage early detection, and promote timely care.

We are proud that 82.49% of our sponsored families were able to benefit from this activity. This is more than just a number, it is a meaningful first step toward protecting our families and building a healthier community.

One family at a time, one screening at a time, we move closer to a TB-free future.

On September 11, 2026, 8 out of 10 new sponsored families joined the 2nd Batch Family Orientation at the TFCF PH Branch Office.
The session focused on program compliance, TFCF programs and services, signing the Sponsorship Contract, and Child Protection Policy, helping parents and guardians better understand their roles and responsibilities as partners in supporting the well-being and development of their children.

Together, we strengthen family, community partnerships and work toward a safer, more supportive, and brighter future for every child.

📋💙 Strengthening Our Commitment to Children and Families!

On September 9, 2026, the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) – Philippines Branch welcomed the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for its annual monitoring, with the support of Ms. Daisy Godis, Social Welfare Officer II from the DSWD-NCR Office.

The monitoring aimed to assess TFCF’s compliance with the required standards and ensure that appropriate welfare services and assistance are effectively provided to the children and families we serve.

TFCF remains committed to upholding quality social services, continuously strengthening our programs, and ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of children and families in the communities we serve.

We are grateful to the DSWD-NCR for its continued guidance and partnership in promoting quality social welfare services. 🤝💙

We believe in the power of creativity! Once again, we challenged our children to express what they learned after a fun and participatory session with the volunteers of Centro Escolar University on proper toothbrushing techniques and the importance of oral health through a Slogan Making Contest.

More than simply being creative, the children were able to express, in their own words, the valuable lessons they learned. For us, this is a vital part of their learning journey as they put into practice what they have learned and turn knowledge into healthy habits. 🦷✨

Once again, as part of the selection process, everyone is invited to cast their votes by reacting with a ❤️ HEART to their chosen artwork.

🏆 Twelve (12) winners will be selected to receive special awards from TFCF, and their selected artworks will be featured in the TFCF 2027 Calendar!

🎭 Youth Program Theater Visit | RTU Dulaang Rizalia 🎭

A meaningful day of learning, creativity, and inspiration! ✨

On September 11, 2026, our Youth Program participants had the wonderful opportunity to visit Rizal Technological University (RTU) and experience the world of theater through the guidance and performance of RTU Dulaang Rizalia Theater Group.

The visit allowed our young participants to discover the power of storytelling, appreciate the performing arts, and see how passion, teamwork, and creativity come together on stage. 🎬👏

Thank you to RTU Dulaang Rizalia for welcoming our youth and sharing your talent and love for theater! May this experience inspire our young people to explore their creativity, express themselves confidently, and continue dreaming big. 🌟

On August 22, 2026, the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) conducted a Multi-Hazard Roll-Out Training at Addition Hills Integrated School. The activity was attended by 22 sponsored families and aimed to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills on how to properly respond during disasters and emergency situations.

The Parent Volunteer Leaders (PVLs) and Youth Volunteer Leaders (YVLs) led the First Aid discussion, where they shared important information on what to do during an emergency. They also demonstrated basic first aid procedures and proper ways of responding to different emergency situations.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Mandaluyong Fire Station also conducted a discussion on fire prevention and response. They explained the common causes of fire and shared important safety measures to prevent fire incidents. The BFP personnel also demonstrated the proper way to respond to and control a fire using appropriate fire safety techniques.

Overall, the activity provided the sponsored families with practical knowledge on first aid, fire prevention, and emergency response. It also encouraged participants to be more prepared and responsible in protecting themselves, their families, and the community during times of disaster.
