MANDALUYONG CPS CONDUCTS TABLETOP EXERCISE ON SCHOOL SHOOTING RESPONSE
The Mandaluyong City Police Station, led by Chief of Police PCOL REYNAN V PATAM, conducted a Tabletop Exercise on Police Response to a Shooting Incident at a School on August 19, 2026, at the Conference Room, 5th Floor, BFP/PNP Building, Maysilo Circle, Mandaluyong City. The simulation and planning session was attended by PLTCOL RAMIL L ENTERESO, ACOPA; PMAJ HAZEM L OGNAYON, ACOPO; along with Sub-Station Commanders, Section Chiefs, and key Police Commissioned Officers and Police Non-Commissioned Officers.
During the activity, PCOL PATAM emphasized the critical need for constant operational readiness and absolute clarity regarding individual roles, responsibilities, and tactics during critical school emergency scenarios. The participating officers thoroughly reviewed emergency protocols, tactical command and control structures, personnel deployment, immediate tactical intervention, and inter-unit communication frameworks required to execute a rapid and synchronized response.
The tabletop discussion also provided a dedicated venue to evaluate existing response protocols, address potential operational gaps, and integrate key lessons learned from past critical incidents, including the recent school shooting in Zamboanga. By analyzing these scenarios, the station aims to reinforce safety measures and fortify protective strategies for students, educators, and school personnel across the city.
