The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong (RCTM) represented by High Impact President Arleen T. Reyes, Lieutenant Governor for Operations Charter President Hermie Carino, and District Membership Vice Chair Joan Tejada attended the Rotary International District 3800 2nd Breakfast Meeting held on October 10, 2026, at Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan City.

Hosted by Cluster 2 (Marikina-Rizal), the meeting gathered district leaders and Rotarians to receive updates on key initiatives, committee accomplishments, and upcoming district activities. District Governor Celso Montalla delivered his message and led discussions on important Rotary programs, including The Rotary Foundation, End Polio Now, Membership Development, Service Projects, Public Image, Youth Service, Rotaract, Grants, and other district priorities.

RCTM expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the District Public Image Committee for this meaningful recognition of RCTM's Rotary Marker at Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, which serves as an inspiration to continue promoting Rotary’s image and values through impactful and sustainable projects.

FELLOWSHIP, FUN, AND CELEBRATION AT DISTRICT 3800 OKTOBERFEST 2026

Officers and members of the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong joined fellow Rotarians from across the district for an evening of fellowship, great food, music, and celebration during the District 3800 Oktoberfest 2026, hosted by the Rotary Club of River City Marikina, held on October 3, 2026, at the Metro Tent, Pasig City.

Rotarians and guests enjoyed delicious food, lively entertainment, and opportunities to connect with fellow Rotarians . The gathering served as a reminder that fellowship remains one of Rotary's greatest strengths, creating enduring relationships that inspire meaningful service and collaboration.

Strengthening Rotary-Rotaract Partnership Through Leadership and Service

The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong (RCTM) reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young leaders as it joined and supported its daughter club, the Rotaract Club of Highway Hills, during the District Rotaract Representative (DRR) Visit to Rotaract Clubs of Mandaluyong held on October 3, 2026, at the Mandaluyong City Protection Center, 3rd Floor.

Representing RCTM were High Impact President Arleen T. Reyes, New Generation Director Jose Nathaniel Reyes, and Baby Rotarian Angela Tabios, whose presence demonstrated the club's continued guidance and encouragement of emerging leaders within the Rotaract.

The Rotaract Club of Highway Hills was represented by President Chelsea Calibuso, Immediate Past President Caryl Yca Dante, and the club secretary. During the visit, the club presented its accomplishments, action plans, upcoming activities, and organizational initiatives before district leaders and fellow Rotaractors.

Led by District Rotaract Representative John Vince Ortiz, the visit served as a valuable opportunity to assess club operations, recognize achievements, strengthen fellowship, and provide direction for the continuing growth of Rotaract clubs within the district. The activity also featured productive discussions and exchanges of ideas aimed at enhancing service projects, membership engagement, and leadership development.

The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong held its 7th Regular Meeting on October 1, 2026, at Three Dots Restaurant, Greenhills Mall, San Juan City. The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships, advancing service initiatives, and preparing for upcoming club milestones.

A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Atayde Foundation, formalizing a partnership aimed at enhancing community-based programs and expanding the impact of both organizations' service efforts.

Members also reviewed ongoing and upcoming service projects, reaffirming the club’s commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable assistance to communities in need.

In addition, the club discussed preparations for its forthcoming 3rd Charter Anniversary and 4th Induction Ceremonies, which will celebrate the club’s achievements, recognize the dedication of its members and partners, and mark another year of service and fellowship.

Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong and Corazon S. Atayde Memorial Foundation Forge Partnership for Community Development

The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong formally strengthened its commitment to meaningful and sustainable community service through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Corazon S. Atayde Memorial Foundation on October 1, 2026, at Three Dots Restaurant, Greenhills Mall, San Juan City.

The partnership marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between the two organizations to develop and implement programs that uplift communities through education, humanitarian service, and social development initiatives. Guided by their shared commitment to Service Above Self, both organizations agreed to work together in identifying, planning, and implementing projects that address critical community needs while advancing Rotary International’s Seven Areas of Focus.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong by its President, Arleen T. Reyes, together with RCTM's Service Project Director Ryan Ilinon and officers of the Club. Representing the Corazon S. Atayde Memorial Foundation were Rylene Ngeta-a, Executive Director; Edna Odsinada, Project Manager; and Sundae Fronteras, Project Officer, on behalf of Margarita R. Atayde, Director for Partnerships. The agreement reflects the commitment of both organizations to undertake joint service projects, promote education and literacy, encourage knowledge-sharing, support humanitarian initiatives, and strengthen community engagement.

This partnership demonstrates the unwavering dedication of both organizations to creating positive and lasting change. By combining the Rotary Club’s extensive network of community leaders and volunteers with the Foundation’s advocacy for literacy and child empowerment, the collaboration is expected to open new opportunities to transform lives, empower future generations, and build stronger and more resilient communities.

HOPE IN EVERY HAND: A Collaborative Relief Mission

In the spirit of Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong (RCTM), led by its High Impact President Arleen T. Reyes, joined hands with the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) Committee on Civic and Social Responsibility and the Civil Military Operations Group (CMOG) of the Philippine Navy in a relief donation drive aimed at supporting communities affected by recent natural disasters.

As part of the initiative, HIP Arleen T. Reyes formally handed over the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong's donation of boxes of bottled water on September 14, 2026, at the Office of the Solicitor General. The donation formed part of a broader humanitarian effort to provide essential assistance to vulnerable communities impacted by calamities and other emergency situations.

The donated bottled water was subsequently distributed by the Philippine Navy on September 29, 2026, through its outreach program benefiting 148 students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 at the Aeta Children's Home in Castillejos, Zambales. The contribution provided much-needed support to the young learners and their community, helping address their immediate needs while promoting health, hydration, and overall well-being.

Through the collective efforts of the OSG Committee, CMOG, and the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong, Hope in Every Hand stands as a testament to the transformative power of partnership, solidarity, and compassion. By working together, these organizations not only delivered essential relief assistance but also brought encouragement and hope to communities facing adversity. The project embodies Rotary's commitment to humanitarian service, demonstrating that every act of kindness, no matter how simple, has the power to uplift lives and strengthen communities in times of need.

Partners in Service: Protecting the Pasig River

Demonstrating the power of collaboration in environmental stewardship, the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong, together with the Philippine Coast Guard CGSS Mandaluyong and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 106 Auxiliary Squadron, continues its commitment to protecting and preserving the environment through the Daloy Ng Pag Asa River Clean-up Project, now on its third year.

More than a clean-up activity, Daloy ng Pag-asa is a testament to the power of service, volunteerism, and collective responsibility in safeguarding one of Metro Manila's most important waterways. Through this sustained initiative, the partner organizations work hand in hand to promote environmental awareness, encourage community participation, and contribute to the restoration and preservation of the Pasig River.

The project highlights how strong partnerships can create lasting impact, inspiring individuals and communities to become active stewards of the environment. Now on its third year, Salo-Salo sa Pag-asa, Bigas para sa Pamilya continues to create meaningful economic opportunities while uplifting community welfare. Beyond providing rice assistance to the families of our Coast Guard partners, the project actively supports local economic development by sourcing its rice supplies from small entrepreneurs in Barangay Addition Hills. This initiative helps generate income for local vendors, stimulates community-based enterprise, and strengthens grassroots livelihoods.

Through this sustainable approach, the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong promotes a cycle of shared prosperity, where community support extends not only to beneficiary families but also to hardworking local businesses. By linking service with economic empowerment, the project fosters resilience, self-reliance, and inclusive growth while reinforcing Rotary's commitment to creating lasting and positive change in the community.
