☀️ Spotlight on 3ZERO House charter signatory: The Habilin Project

🔎 Who They Are: The Habilin Project is a volunteer-driven and youth-oriented movement based in Mandaluyong City. They focus their efforts on co-developing community projects that empower young Filipinos to live out their fullest potential - as well as grow to become responsible leaders.

🌏 What They Do: The Habilin Project operates through their volunteers proposing project ideas with the community - and then providing available support (ex. time, money, physical donations) until said projects are achieved. The movement also practices active collaboration with not only young Filipinos, but also larger entities such as the local government unit of Mandaluyong (i.e. charity programs) and 3ZERO House Philippines (i.e. the community library project).

The Habilin Project: Celebrating a Milestone in 2024!

We are thrilled to announce that The Habilin Project has reached a significant milestone in 2024! 🎉 After months of hard work, dedication, and collaboration, we’ve made incredible strides in our mission to empower the youth and to reach more communities.

As we reflect on the past few months, we are proud to share some incredible accomplishments that showcase the growth and impact of The Habilin Project and our commitment to making a difference in the community.

1. Elected as Advocate Representative: We are honored to have been elected as an Advocate Representative and successfully registered with the Mandaluyong Youth Development Office MYDO), further strengthening our role in youth advocacy and development.

2. Courtesy Call with Councilor Elton Yap: We had the privilege of meeting with Councilor Elton Yap, fostering relationships with local government leaders to collaborate on community projects.

3. Participation in the K*K Assembly: The Habilin Project took part in the K*K Assembly of SK Addition Hills - Mandaluyong where we joined hands with youth leaders to discuss ways to further our collective goals.

4. Invited to Climate Fresk Workshop: We were invited to the Climate Fresk Workshop, organized by Global Shapers Community – Global Shapers Community - Manila Hub, Acted Philippines, and 3ZERO House Philippines, where we learned and collaborated on climate action initiatives.

5. Victory in the First-Ever Quiz Bowl: The Habilin Project proudly participated and aced the First-Ever Quiz Bowl in SK Addition Hills - Mandaluyong, showcasing the talent and knowledge of our team.

6. Joining the 3ZERO House Philippines Assembly: We proudly joined the 3ZERO House Philippines Assembly, aligning with their mission of zero exclusion, zero carbon, and zero poverty to drive positive change.

7. Working Towards 3ZERO Goals: We continue to work toward our shared purpose of 3ZERO—fighting exclusion, climate change, and poverty through collaborative efforts.

8. TeleRadyo Guesting for Community Library Soft Launch: The Habilin Project was featured on TeleRadyo for the soft launch of our Community Library, further amplifying our mission and reaching a wider audience.

9. Soft Launch of the Community Library: In collaboration with Gawad Kalinga, Acted Philippines, and 3ZERO House Philippines, we proudly launched the Community Library—an initiative aimed at providing resources and knowledge to uplift our community.
