In our latest LAYA FGDs with 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, and 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞, we saw how our shared mission blooms in completely different ways.

In these rooms, Lasallian partners, formators, and students from various councils and organizations showed up as equal co-creators. We are collectively centering the mission by grounding our roots in the actual reality of student life today.

𝘽𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝, 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 — 𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙙𝙖𝙮, Saint John Baptist De La Salle! 💚

Today, we celebrate a visionary educator, faithful servant, and patron saint of teachers whose mission transformed lives through education rooted in faith, service, and communion.

Through his unwavering commitment to providing quality education for all, especially the poor and marginalized, he showed that teaching is not merely a profession but a vocation of the heart. His legacy continues to inspire generations of Lasallians to become instruments of faith and zeal.

As we mark his birthday, may we carry forward his spirit by forming minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives in all that we do.

Live Jesus in our hearts, forever! 💚

Last April 24, we gathered the student leaders of 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐋𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 and 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐋𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 to capture the final voices of our Visayas consultations.

Seeing these two institutions exchange ideas allowed us to view the mission through a wider lens, gathering the stories needed to ensure the new LAYA reflects the actual grit and aspirations of the young Lasallians across all levels.

𝙐𝙎𝙇𝙎, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙅-𝙎𝙇𝙎, thank you for sharing your truths and for giving us plenty of reasons to smile as we close this regional chapter. We're carrying your joy and your vision with us. 🌿

The Lasallian Youth Commission just wrapped up its first Visayas leg at 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲.

On April 22, the halls of DLS-ASMC were filled with the kind of honest, unfiltered dialogue that reshapes a mission. We’re moving beyond the document and into the grit of the Cebuano experience to build an agenda that actually resonates.

𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓭𝓸𝔀𝓷, 𝓶𝓪𝓷𝔂 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼 𝓽𝓸 𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓷 𝓽𝓸 ✧˖°

We are grateful for the successful conclusion of our first Focus Group Discussion featuring 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲, 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗽𝗮 last April 13.

Through these listening spaces, we are deepening our understanding of how Lasallian values are lived out today. We’re surfacing truths, sharing aspirations, and building the new 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖 (LAYA) from the ground up. 👣

This is just the first milestone of many as we journey through our different schools!

Young Lasallians, Striving with Purpose.

As we celebrate the feast day of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, we are reminded that as young Lasallians, we serve a mission greater than ourselves. We are called to serve, guide, and inspire others out of genuine care and faith.

He once said, “You are ambassadors and ministers of Jesus Christ in the work that you do.” This reminds us that in our everyday actions, in how we treat one another and how we lead, we become instruments of hope and change. Let us continue to live out the teachings of our founder by living Christ-like lives.

May we keep lifting each other up, standing firm in our values, and leading with hearts committed to making a difference in the lives of others. 💚

⭐️Reflections from NLVC '25⭐️

"Last year’s National Lasallian Volunteers Camp truly deepened my understanding of the Lasallian Mission and Identity. I learned that volunteering within the Lasallian community is a thoughtful and respectful process that honors the culture and dignity of those we serve. During the camp, we focused on truly seeing and experiencing the lives of the community with openness and empathy. This taught me the importance of sincere listening and recognizing the truth in the eyes of those we serve, even when they do not openly ask for help.

Connecting with fellow Lasallians from different parts of the Philippines was challenging, as we each brought different practices and ways of working. Still, I embraced the challenge and opened myself wholeheartedly to collaborate, united by our shared goal of service. This experience deepened my appreciation that the Lasallian Mission calls us to walk alongside others with humility, respect, and compassion. If given another chance, I would eagerly join again—ready to see, understand, and act with a heart committed to genuine service. I hope more volunteers will be inspired to embrace this mission, knowing that true service begins with truly experiencing and valuing the lives of those we serve."

𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨

Today, February 25, 2026, we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the People Power Revolution. This historic event reminds us that true power lies in the hands of the people and that peaceful action can bring about meaningful change.

The People Power Revolution, also known as the bloodless revolution, emphasizes the power of the people when we stand together. Through the Catholic radio station “Radio Veritas”, people were able to gather along EDSA to peacefully protest for the rights of Filipinos and to demand a government that truly serves the nation. The Church is meant for the people and truly shows that unity can create significant change without violence.

St. John Baptist De La Salle once said, “𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘎𝘰𝘥, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥.”

This reminds us that 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to the common good. Reflecting on the People Power Revolution, we are called not only to honor the courage of those who came before us but also to follow their example by standing up for justice, promoting peace, and supporting one another in our community. In this way, we live out the values of faith, service, and unity that define us as Lasallians and uphold the Shalom that God has given us.

"We are who we are today because of the people who accompanied us, and the youth need that accompaniment even more."

Join us as we look back on the remarkable moments of community and reflection shared during the 2025 Forum on Youth Accompaniment as participants, Ms. Shanine Cabonilas (DLSU-D), Mr. Adrian Santanaraj David (LEAD- La Salle Center Ipoh), and Br. Ivan Karlo Umali FSC (LEAD- La Salle Center Singapore), shared their insights and key takeaways from the three-day Forum.

With deep gratitude we thank our young Lasallians, Partners, Brothers, and resource speakers for generously saying ‘yes’ to journeying with us towards better understanding of our shared mission, and the importance young people play in our community.
