Gawad Kalinga continuously maps barangays/communities where the poorest of the poor are. Through our vast network of partners and volunteers on-ground, we are able to deliver assistance where and when it is needed the most.

OPERATION WALANG IWANAN - Mindanao (Update 03) 🙏🇵🇭🧡

Sharing with you an inspiring story.

GK Tagbawa, a Gawad Kalinga community in Makilala, North Cotabato, sent their cash donation to GK for our relief operations for the victims of the recent earthquake.

The families of this community were earthquake survivors themselves when North Cotabato was jolted by a 6.6 magnitutde earthquake, which totally destroyed their homes. On that same year, GK worked with them in building their new community. GK USA helped fund their homes.

Seven years after, they now live in a thriving community. As they continue to rebuild their lives from the rubbles of the past, they decided to stand in solidarity with the earthquake victims in Southern Mindanao.
