This year, PIID’s booth at Worldbex was thoughtfully conceived as a narrative - each element expressing the values, processes, and evolving role of interior design in shaping meaningful spaces for people and communities. Through spatial composition, materiality, and storytelling, the installation illustrated how interior design moves beyond aesthetics to influence experience, function, and cultural identity.

For the interior design community in the Philippines, the booth served as both a showcase and a statement: a reminder of the discipline’s depth, its professional rigor, and its growing impact within the broader design and construction industry.

Swipe through to discover the ideas behind the design and how each layer of the installation represents the continuing evolution of interior design practice in the Philippines.

As the profession continues to grow, so too does the collective vision of the community shaping it.

ICYMI: Here are some of the snapshots of conversations that shaped at the recently held Design Futures Symposium.

Bringing together four thought leaders from across the design and creative industries, the symposium opened a space for reflection on where the profession is headed—and how designers today can thoughtfully navigate the future of practice.

For many in the community, the conversations sparked new ideas on how these learnings can be translated into everyday practice—strengthening not only individual careers, but the collective advancement of the profession.

And this is only the beginning.

As the year unfolds, PIID continues to create spaces for dialogue, discovery, and professional growth. More programs, conversations, and opportunities await the design community in the months ahead.

Stay engaged. Stay curious. The year for design is just getting started. ✨

The doors open, and a new chapter begins at Worldbex 2026.

As one of the country’s most anticipated gatherings for the built environment, the event brings together architects, designers, manufacturers, and industry leaders in a shared space for ideas, innovation, and collaboration.

At the heart of it, the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers presents One PIID: Grounded. Guided. Future-Ready.—a collective showcase shaped by its chapters across the country. The installation reflects a profession rooted in heritage, responsive to present realities, and open to emerging technologies that shape the future of design.

More than an exhibit, it is a reminder that interior design plays a vital role in creating spaces that are safe, meaningful, and responsive to the communities they serve.

Come visit the PIID booth and the featured interior designers’ booths from March 12 to 15 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and experience the installation up close.

Welcome to Worldbex 2026—where the conversations, collaborations, and ideas shaping the future of the built environment continue to unfold.

A peek of what’s to come—yet it already reflects the peak of what Filipino interior designers can achieve when creativity is supported by a strong and unified professional community.

At this year’s Worldbex, the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers presents a collective vision shaped by its National, Cebu, Panay, Eastern Visayas, Negros, and Mindanao Chapters—coming together as One PIID.

PIID’s booth reflects a shared narrative: honoring the richness of Filipino heritage, responding thoughtfully to the realities of the present, and embracing emerging technologies with purpose and responsibility. It presents Interior Design not as ornamentation, but as a discipline grounded in safety, wellness, cultural stewardship, and environmental accountability.

Through careful material choices and considered spatial planning, the experience highlights design that is contextual, human-centered, and guided by intention.

More than a showcase.
It’s a statement of direction.
One PIID: Grounded. Guided. Future-Ready.

Design becomes most meaningful when it reflects the person who lives with it.

In this Future Five 2026 feature, Katrina Lopez-Ong of WKND Design introduces her exhibit concept, “Express.”

The space is shaped around the idea of personal authorship—where interiors evolve alongside the people who inhabit them. Instead of fixed functions, artworks, tools, and movable elements can be edited and rearranged over time, allowing the occupant to continuously shape the space through everyday choices.

Through this approach, the installation highlights how thoughtful interiors can become an extension of identity—flexible, personal, and quietly intentional.

A space to pause, reset, and simply be.

In this Future Five 2026 feature, Angelica Mara Manalo of Studio Mara shares the idea behind her exhibit concept, “Restore.”

The installation explores how interiors can support moments of quiet renewal. Through layered earth tones, natural textures, refined forms, and diffused lighting, the space is designed to soften the pace of everyday life. The result is a sanctuary that embraces stillness—where familiar rituals and thoughtful design come together to create a sense of calm.

As part of Philippine Institute of Interior Designers Future Five 2026, Angelica joins a group of emerging designers presenting fresh perspectives for the future of Philippine interiors.

How can a space encourage people to slow down and truly connect?

In this Future Five 2026 feature, Samantha Felisse Co**ha of Sauv Design Studio shares the thinking behind her exhibit concept, “Connect.”

The installation explores how lighting can shape the way we experience a space. Through deep tones, soft finishes, gentle lighting, and touches of greenery, the living room is designed to create a calm environment that eases visual fatigue and invites conversation. It’s a reminder that thoughtful interiors can influence not only how a space looks, but how people feel within it.

Presented as part of Philippine Institute of Interior Designers Future Five 2026, the exhibit highlights emerging designers who are contributing fresh ideas to the evolving landscape of Philippine interior design.

Designing spaces that support how we truly work and think.

In this feature from Future Five 2026, Louie Gotinga and Chel Aquino of Siglo Interiors share the thinking behind “Focus — The Adaptive Focus Room.”

The concept explores how interiors can respond to different cognitive needs throughout the day — from moments that require deep concentration to spaces that allow for pause and recovery. Through adaptable zones and a circadian dome that mirrors natural daylight, the space is designed to support both productivity and well-being.

Presented as part of Philippine Institute of Interior Designers Future Five 2026, the installation reflects how emerging designers are exploring new ways interiors can better support people and the rhythms of everyday life.
