NIIGATA, Japan — Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malolos Past Presidents Jim Jose and Jester Manarang joined thousands of young leaders from across the region at the 2026 JCI Asia-Pacific Conference (ASPAC), held in Niigata, Japan, from June 12 to 14.

Manarang, currently serving as the 2026 International Affairs Director of JCI Philippines, played a key role in representing the national organization at the international assembly.

The 2026 JCI ASPAC, hosted primarily at the Toki Messe convention center, gathered entrepreneurs, changemakers, and youth leaders to engage in impactful forums, cross-cultural immersions, and global networking. The multi-day event serves as a platform to foster international cooperation and drive sustainable solutions across the Asia-Pacific area.

Fostering regional unity and collaboration, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malolos successfully hosted the ‘Stronger’ Metro North Fellowship.

The activity featured joint General Membership Meeting (GMM) and served as the regional closing activity for the celebration of JCI Week 2026.

The monumental gathering brought together young active citizens and leaders from JCI Malolos, JCI Baliwag Buntal, JCI Marilao Marilag, JCI Marilaw, and JCI Plaridel del Pilar.

Adding to the significance of the event, the fellowship served as an official and warm welcome for the region's newest local organization, JCI Balagtas - Florante at Laura. The integration of the new chapter into the Metro North family highlights the growing footprint of the JCI movement in the area.

Solidifying this commitment to regional synergy, a major highlight of the event was the official signing of Twinning Agreements between JCI Malolos and its four sister chapters: JCI Baliwag Buntal, JCI Marilao Marilag, JCI Marilaw, and JCI Plaridel del Pilar.

The formal proceedings, the signing of the agreements, and the display of regional solidarity were officially witnessed by 2026 Regional Vice President (RVP) Ina Villarica, who commended the chapters for successfully concluding their week-long celebration with such a unified front. 2026 Metro Area Vice President Calel Gosingtian was also present duing the program.

Beyond the formal business agenda, the event prioritized camaraderie through an engaging game night sponsored by JCI Plaridel del Pilar. The fun-filled activities allowed members from different municipalities to bond, network, and build deeper interpersonal ties, capping off JCI Week 2026 on a high note and perfectly embodying the fellowship's vision of building a stronger Metro North Region.

Recognizing the importance of fiscal responsibility in the transition to professional life, JCI Malolos recently organized a specialized financial management training session for its members who are fresh college graduates.

The virtual workshop, conducted via Google Meet, aimed to equip young Jaycees with the practical skills necessary for personal wealth management, debt mitigation, and long-term financial planning.

Mr. Jacob M. Tolentino, founder of Atlas Financial Group served as the local organization's training.

The training session focused on essential topics, including basic budgeting strategies, the fundamentals of saving, and the basics of investment in a modern economic landscape.

In a bid to maintain the highest standards of organizational professionalism, 2022 JCI Philippines Metro Area Vice President Jim Jose facilitated a protocol training for the members of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malolos last April 22, 2026, at the Palacio Real de Sto. Niño.

The training session aimed to equip the chapter’s board of directors and general membership with essential knowledge on standard JCI protocols, and formal event management.

Bringing his extensive leadership experience to the chapter, Past Metro Area VP Jose shared practical insights on proper decorum, the official order of precedence, and the correct ex*****on of JCI ceremonies.

His expert guidance provided the attendees with a clearer understanding of how strict adherence to protocol not only shows respect for the organization's heritage but also enhances its prestige and operational efficiency during official gatherings.

In a move to strengthen civic engagement and grassroots initiatives, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malolos has officially formalized a strategic partnership with Kabataang Boluntir Initiative (KBI) aimed at driving sustainable community development in the city.

The joint efforts will primarily focus on disaster risk reduction management, youth empowerment, and civic welfare.

The agreement was officially signed by JCI Malolos 2025 and 2026 Local President Reggie Rey Caparas Fajardo and KBI Executive President Ana Mhey Tabinas while City of Malolos Youth Development Officer Bryan Paulo Santiago witnessed the signing.

In a vital move to equip the local youth with life-saving skills, JCI Malolos successfully hosted Project PINTIG: A Basic First Aid Training, bringing together key community stakeholders for a collaborative emergency response initiative.

The project was made possible through a powerful partnership between JCI Malolos, Kabalikat Civicom (KBI), and the Bulacan State University (BulSU) - Bayanihan Tayo organization, the City of Malolos Youth Development Office, and the City of Malolos Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The primary beneficiaries of Project PINTIG were the youths of the City of Malolos. Recognizing that emergencies can strike at any moment, the training was designed to transform young citizens from bystanders into proactive first responders.

Following a successful area kickoff, JCI Malolos continued its JCI Week 2026 celebrations by looking back at its roots and honoring the leaders who shaped its history during an intimate dinner with the chapter’s Past Presidents.

The fellowship event served as a centerpiece for the week's festivities, bridging the gap between the chapter's rich heritage and its current generation of young active citizens.

The dinner brought together the current board of directors, general membership, and several of the chapter's past leaders.

The evening was filled with nostalgia, laughter, and meaningful dialogue as the pioneering presidents shared valuable insights, historical milestones, and lessons learned from their respective terms.

Showing the discipline and enthusiasm characteristic of the chapter, the 10-member delegation from JCI Malolos arrived at the Baliwag City Hallo as early as 6:00 AM last April 19, 2026 to join the Area 2-initiated launching of JCI Week.

The event marked the official start of a week-long celebration dedicated to highlighting the organization's impact, fostering camaraderie among various chapters, and introducing new avenues for sustainable local development.

The launching ceremony featured a vibrant gathering of young active citizens, local government officials, and Area 2 leaders. The event underscored this year's themes of unity, resilience, and proactive citizenship.

JCI Malolos paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) of Bulacan to discuss potential collaboration projects aimed at encouraging youth participation in agriculture and promoting appreciation for the vital role of farmers in food production.

The meeting was attended by JCI Malolos 2025 and 2026 Local President Reggie Rey C. Fajardo, Vice President for Community Development Janssen Dale Besares, and member Engr. Aira Ronalie Santos. They were welcomed by Provincial Agriculturist Ma. Gloria S.F. Carillo.

During the discussion, both parties explored possible initiatives that would introduce young people to farming and agricultural practices while highlighting the importance of farmers in ensuring food security and sustaining local communities.

Fajardo emphasized the need to engage the youth in meaningful agricultural programs that can foster awareness, leadership, and social responsibility. The proposed collaboration aligns with JCI Malolos' commitment to community development and empowering young people to create positive change.

Meanwhile, Carillo expressed the Provincial Agriculture Office's support for efforts that promote agriculture among the younger generation and strengthen public appreciation for the agricultural sector.

The courtesy visit marks the beginning of discussions for future projects that seek to bridge youth development and agricultural education in Malolos.
