The Labor Policy Reforms and Industrial Relations (LPRIR) Committee successfully concluded the March IR Kapihan with a timely session: “Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Detailed Checklist.”

With strong participation from HR practitioners, the session underscored workplace safety as a growing strategic priority. Participants gained practical insights on applying the OSH Checklist—from HIRAC and emergency preparedness to updated requirements under DO 252, s. 2025.

The session featured Dr. Marco Antonio S. Valeros, Medical Officer IV of DOLE-BWC, with opening remarks from Atty. Lilibeth R. Carao of Vitarich Corporation, moderated by Monette F. Pangan of ALPLA Philippines Inc., and hosted by Maria Soledad D. Amir, PMAP 2026 Treasurer.

The discussion reinforced that OSH is more than compliance, it is a proactive, dynamic system that manages risks, safeguards workers, and ensures organizations remain both compliant and operational.
