📖 Title: Saling Etnolingguwistikong Akda ng mga Aeta sa Bayan Ng Capas, Tarlac
👤 Author: Jessica Marie I. Dela Peña, PhD

About the Research:
This study serves as a vital bridge for cultural preservation, focusing on the translation of folk stories, legends, and songs of the Indigenous Aeta community in Capas, Tarlac. By utilizing Larsson’s meaning-based translation theory, Dr. Dela Peña has documented these rich oral traditions into a magazine titled "Istorya Keta Capas, Tarlac."

Key Highlights:

Achieved a 4.9 mean score for lexical and grammatical validity in the Kapampangan dialect.

Received a 4.8 overall mean for acceptability, proving the material's high quality and cultural relevance.

A major step toward ensuring that the Aeta culture remains recognized and valued by future generations.

At GEAPHEI, we continue to support research that uplifts indigenous voices and preserves our nation's diverse heritage.

JUST RELEASED!

We are pleased to announce the latest addition to the GEAPHEI Research Journal (Volume 3, Issue 1, 2026).
Our newly published study, "Mapping the Literature on Supervising Technical Competence in Technology and Livelihood Education: A Bibliometric Perspective," offers a deep dive into the research landscape of TLE/TVL education.

Inside the Research:
Using a bibliometric approach, authors Lea Ann DC. Castro, Irmina T. Isidoro-Clemente, Gerly DR. Leonardo, and Sadire M. Lopez Jr. analyzed 127 Scopus-indexed publications to identify critical gaps in teacher supervision.

Key Highlights:
• The Gap: While technology integration is widely studied, specific research on mentoring and competency assessment remains largely absent.

• The Call to Action: The study emphasizes the need for competency-based supervision and institutional accountability to meet SDG 4 goals.

• Future Directions: Recommendations for longitudinal studies to further strengthen the vocational education sector.

Congratulations to the authors on this insightful contribution to the field! 🎓✨

GEAPHEI hosts general assembly and seminar to empower, innovate grad school students research

Empowering graduate school students and faculty members with innovation-based research, Graduate Education Association of Public Higher Education Institutions (GEAPHEI) held its annual general assembly and seminar at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, last December 6.

Gathering graduate school students from universities across region III, GEAPHEI aimed to establish a network among its members by providing insightful talks regarding external connections and intellectual properties.

During the event, resource speaker and NEUST president Dr. Rhodora Jugo recognized the researchers as the valuable anchors of innovation highlighting the role of both students and universities during her talk “Propelling the HEI’s Ecosystem Through Institutional and External Innovation Shield.”

“In today’s fast-changing world, HEIs must do more than teach. We must read, research, innovate, and extend knowledge and solutions to society. But we can not do it alone, societal challenges from food security and sustainable agriculture to digital reservation and cultural heritage reservation demand strong internal capacities and open collaboration,” Jugo said.

Also, resource speaker and Head of Intellectual Property Office of Central Luzon State University Dr. Emelie Ablaza also discussed the importance of intellectual property and the awareness of rights during her talk entitled “Innovation Shield: Intellectual Property and Winning Pitches.”

Meanwhile, an open forum discussion was also held at the seminar led by GEAPHEI treasurer Dr. Ariel Bongco in which highlighted topics such as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in writing and research ownerships.

To conclude the general assembly, GEAPHEI President Dr. Warlito Galita also presented the accomplishment and financial reports of the association emphasizing GEAPHEI’s continuous growth and wider reach.
