MATTHEW 4:19
19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
✓Jesus calls his first disciples, Simon Peter and Andrew, inviting them to leave their fishing nets to help spread his teachings.
1. A CALL TO FOLLOW
2. THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION
✓The Call: Jesus initiated the relationship by commanding them to follow Him, demanding a shift in their priorities and lifestyle.
✓The Promise: He promised to transform them. Just as they were experts at catching fish, He would equip and shape them to become experts at rescuing and drawing people into God's kingdom.
✓The Action: According to the following verses, the men immediately dropped their nets and followed Him, representing a total surrender of their previous livelihoods.
