Sustainable Agriculture and Enterprise Development (SAED). SAED program focuses on improving agricultural productivity and ensuring food security through the promotion of organic agriculture, natural farming technologies and other environmentally-friendly farming technologies that will diversify farm products while lowering the production cost. It provides training and technical development assistance to cooperatives and other self-help groups to attain. Under the program, AKI works with the marginalized farming communities in Bukidnon on their effort to raise awareness to the current state of their resource base, sustain natural resource enhancement activities and develop alternative livelihood not dependent on extracting forest timbers and major mineral products. Social Micro Credit Program (SMCP). Using the core approach and principles of Grameen Banking we create opportunities for low income women to engage or expand their small businesses in Malaybalay City and neighboring municipalities. By providing them with information, credit and other financial services, we help these poor women earn income, create assets and improve their families’ wellbeing. Beyond providing financial services, we encourage women’s groups to link among themselves and with others and advocate for policies that would improve women’s access and control of resources and make government more gender responsive. We give capacity- building training on gender awareness, leadership, management, conflict resolution, advocacy and planning. We also provide technical assistance and facilitate women’s access to various resources. Maternal Health and Child Care (MHCC). This program geared towards focusing on women’s reproductive health as well as addressing both practical and strategic needs. This also includes child care and nutrition especially children below five years old. We implement this in partnership with Local Government Units where we provide technical and material support through feedings, medical outreach and training in reproductive health and child care and nutrition (Pabasa Sa Barangay). We give emphasis also in indigenous knowledge system for IP’s especially integrating herbal and alternative medicines using local materials. Development of Social Accountability Networks (DSAcNet) promote the view that Social Accountability is a process of constructive engagement between government and citizen groups, with the checking and monitoring government’s conduct and performance as they use public resources to deliver services, improve people's welfare, and protect peoples' rights.
