Leadership is not only about planning and working hard together—it is also about building relationships, creating memories, and enjoying the journey together.

The PICPA Bukidnon officers and members took a break from meetings and strategic discussions for a fun-filled Pickleball Friendly Game and Teambuilding Activity!

Beyond the friendly competition, the activity gave us an opportunity to get to know one another better, strengthen friendships, encourage teamwork, and simply enjoy being part of the PICPA Bukidnon family.

For a leadership team that is largely composed of new officers, moments like these are important. They remind us that while we may have different roles, experiences, and personalities, we are one team working toward one purpose.

There were rallies, laughs, friendly challenges, and perhaps a few competitive moments—but at the end of the day, what mattered most was that we played together, connected with one another, and grew together.

Because this year’s journey is not just about what we accomplish.

It is also about the people we bring with us along the way.

✨ A NEW CHAPTER OF LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE | PICPA BUKIDNON

A new chapter begins.

PICPA Bukidnon Chapter officially welcomed its new set of officers through the Oathtaking Ceremony, followed by a meaningful Leadership Training and General Membership Meeting last August 15, 2026 at the RR Family Resort, Maramag, Bukidnon.

We were deeply honored to be graced by Ms. Gladeys Jill Santos, CPA; Dr. Lino Buray, CPA; and Dr. Ferdie Rodriguez, CPA, whose presence, wisdom, and encouragement made this gathering even more meaningful.

Our deepest appreciation to Ms. Gladeys Jill Santos, whose leadership and involvement in the broader accountancy profession—including her work with CAPA and IFAC—reminded us to aspire beyond our Chapter and even beyond our national boundaries. Her example inspires us to pursue excellence and recognize the opportunities Filipino CPAs have to contribute to the international accountancy profession.

We likewise thank Dr. Lino Buray and Dr. Ferdie Rodriguez for sharing their knowledge and experiences during our leadership training and for inspiring our officers to embrace leadership with confidence, responsibility, and purpose.

We are also grateful to our Past Presidents, Sir Ray and Sir Nestor, whose support continues even beyond the end of their terms.

And to our member-officers who travelled and made the effort to be with us, thank you. Your presence is a testament to the strength of our PICPA Bukidnon community.

This year, we are especially excited to build a leadership team where majority are new officers, giving them the opportunity to grow, learn, and lead.

As we begin this new term, our commitment is simple:

We will elevate together.
We will lead with integrity.
We will grow with purpose.
And we will grow together.

📌 PLANNING WITH PURPOSE | PICPA BUKIDNON FY 2026–2027

Before we lead, we must first know where we are going.

The newly inducted officers of PICPA Bukidnon Chapter gathered for a meaningful Strategic Planning Session as we began our journey for FY 2026–2027 last August 15, 2026 at the RR Family Resort, Maramag, Bukidnon.

With our theme, “Elevate Together: Leading with Integrity. Growing with Purpose,” the officers came together to reflect, discuss, and set priorities for the year ahead.

This was more than simply preparing a calendar of activities. It was about aligning our goals, identifying opportunities, strengthening teamwork, and ensuring that every initiative we undertake contributes to the growth of our members and the Chapter.

As a leadership team composed largely of new officers—including former student leaders taking their first steps into professional leadership—we recognize the importance of learning from one another and building a culture where everyone is given the opportunity to contribute.

We are excited to begin this journey with one shared commitment:

✨ PICPA Bukidnon Chapter at the Northern Mindanao Region Turnover and Induction Ceremony ✨

PICPA Bukidnon Chapter, represented by its President, Atty. Katherine R. Niere, proudly participated in the Northern Mindanao Region Turnover and Induction Ceremony held today, July 22, 2026, at Malberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished leaders of the profession, including PICPA National President Dionisio C. Villeta, Past National President Lope M. Bato, Past ACPAPP National President Jill Santos, and other national, regional, and chapter officers whose presence made the occasion even more meaningful.

This memorable event was made possible through the collaboration of the PICPA Northern Mindanao Region and the PICPA Cagayan de Oro Chapter, which also celebrated its own Turnover and Induction Ceremony.

Guided by this year’s theme, “EMPOWER: Elevating the Filipino CPA Towards Ethical Leadership and Global Excellence,” the gathering reaffirmed the profession’s shared commitment to ethical leadership, professional excellence, and meaningful service. As PICPA Bukidnon begins a new chapter, we remain inspired to lead with integrity, strengthen our partnerships, and empower our members in advancing the accounting profession.

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Bukidnon Chapter, represented by its Chapter President for FY 2026–2027, Atty. Katherine R. Niere, CPA, participated in the Annual Planning Conference held on June 25–27, 2026, in Iloilo City.

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Empower: Elevating the Filipino CPA towards ethical leadership and global excellence,” the conference emphasized leadership through service, continuous learning, and the empowerment of fellow professionals.

The Bukidnon Chapter looks forward to translating these insights into meaningful initiatives that will help cultivate a bigger, more engaged, and active membership.

The chapter remains grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and prepare for the year ahead in service to the profession.

Day 7 of the AWC!

🌱💚 Rooted in Service. Growing Together. 💚🌱

Another meaningful milestone accomplished through the partnership of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Bukidnon Chapter and the FederaciĂłn Internacional de Abogadas (FIDA) Bukidnon Chapter!

Together, we successfully planted 100 Golden Trumpet seedlings and 20 Narra seedlings at Natid-asan, Casisang, Malaybalay City, reaffirming our shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.

The activity became even more memorable with a refreshing hike and trail climb, reminding us that every step toward protecting our environment is a step worth taking. It was a morning filled with teamwork, laughter, and a common purpose—to leave a greener and better Bukidnon for future generations.

To everyone who joined and supported this initiative, thank you for making this CSR activity a success. May these trees continue to grow as a symbol of our collaboration, friendship, and commitment to serving our community.

Day 7 of the Accountancy week Celebration!

🏓💜💙 What an amazing first serve!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined the first-ever Pickleball Friendly Play of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Bukidnon Chapter and the FederaciĂłn Internacional de Abogadas (FIDA) Bukidnon Chapter, held at Junior's Pickleball Court.

More than just a game, this activity brought together the CPAs and lady lawyers of Bukidnon for a morning of fun, fellowship, and new friendships. It was wonderful getting to know one another, sharing laughs on and off the court, and strengthening the bond between our two professional organizations.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this milestone activity a success. Here's to many more opportunities to connect, collaborate, and build lasting friendships—both on and beyond the pickleball court! 💜💚💙
