Ever wondered why the dragon is everywhere during Lunar New Year? In Chinese culture, the dragon is not a monster. It is a symbol of strength, wisdom, protection, and good fortune. Ancient emperors even associated themselves with the dragon because it represented power and prosperity.

This Lunar New Year, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines celebrates with our fellow Scouts, especially our brothers and sisters in Scouting with Chinese heritage. Your culture and traditions make our Scouting family stronger, brighter, and full of life.

“A Scout’s journey begins with knowledge, grows with skills, and shines through loyalty.”

Yesterday, January 10, 2026 we proudly conducted our Investiture Ceremony & day camp at potrero national high school, a meaningful activity that deepened our understanding of the values and knowledge of scouting. The ceremony featured three challenging bases: Base 1: Tent Pitching, where we practiced teamwork and practical camping skills; Base 2: Pioneering, which taught us creativity, problem-solving, and leadership; and Base 3: Loyalty Test, where we reflected on the importance of honesty, commitment, and staying true to the Scout Oath and Law.

Through these activities, we not only learned essential scouting skills but also strengthened our character, discipline, and camaraderie. The Investiture Ceremony reminded us that being a scout is more than wearing the uniform it’s about embracing responsibility, service, and the values that guide us to become better individuals and active members of our community.

End Of Camp, Start of Beautiful Memories!! ⚜️

Senior Scout of Potrero National High School had joined the 33rd Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree on December 14-21, 2025.

Thank to our School Principal Maam Nenita J. Rivera for allowing the scouts to join and for borrowing the school car.

The senior scout had many beautiful memories, experience, and Knowledge from every modules. Had many friends around the Asia Pacific Region.⚜️❤️

By planting mangroves and cleaning our shores, we plant hope for the future proving that even the smallest hands can protect the biggest parts of our world!🫶🏻

‎The Senior Scouts of Potrero National High School actively participated in the Mangrove Planting and Coastal Clean-up Drive held at Dampalit Megadike. This meaningful activity was conducted in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
‎
‎During the activity, the scouts worked together to plant mangrove seedlings, which play a big role in protecting our coastlines from erosion, providing shelter for marine animals, and helping reduce the effects of climate change. After planting, the scouts also joined in cleaning the shoreline, collecting plastic waste and other debris that harm the environment.
‎
‎This experience helped the scouts understand the importance of taking care of nature and showed them how small actions can create a big and positive impact on the community. It also strengthened their teamwork, discipline, and sense of responsibility as young leaders. The project became a great reminder that protecting the environment is everyone’s duty, and that through unity, we can make a difference.

‎The Senior Scouts of Potrero National High School and Catmon Integrated School, together with Nesaph Epifanio Delosantos Chapter. 20, carried out a heartfelt volunteer outreach at Sitio 6, Barangay Catmon, Malabon City. The activity aimed to extend help and comfort to families who were greatly affected by a recent fire incident in the area. With genuine compassion and a spirit of unity, the scouts distributed relief goods and shared words of encouragement to those who lost their homes and belongings.

‎This meaningful initiative embodied the true essence of scouting service to others, empathy for those in need, and the unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the community. Beyond the relief goods, the scouts offered their time, effort, and kindness, reminding everyone that even in times of hardship, hope and solidarity can light the way forward. Their act of service stands as a reflection of the enduring bayanihan spirit that continues to bring Filipinos together in times of trial.

Ang Senior Scouts ng Malabon City Council ay nananawagan ng suporta para sa ating mga kababayang naapektuhan ng matinding sunog. Marami ang nawalan ng tirahan, pagkain, at pangunahing pangangailangan — at ngayon kailangan nila ang ating malasakit.
