On August 21, 1983, Ninoy was assassinated upon his return to the Philippines after years in exile. His death awakened a nation and became one of the defining moments that strengthened the Filipino people's call for freedom and democratic change.

Diversity โ€” (noun) The presence and appreciation of people with different backgrounds, identities, cultures, beliefs, abilities, and experiences. It reminds us that our differences make our communities stronger, richer, and more inclusive.

Diversity is more than accepting that people are different, itโ€™s about respecting every individual regardless of their identity or beliefs. Many of the problems we face begin with a lack of respect for others and their differences. We hope to learn from the mistakes of the past and continue to do better.

This also includes respecting members of the LGBTQ+ community and recognizing that everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are.

Let us be more understanding, listen to one another with an open mind, and create a space where everyone feels seen and heard. No matter who we are or where we come from, every individual deserves kindness, dignity, respect, and equal opportunities. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Pride (noun) โ€” Being true to who you are, embracing your identity, recognizing your worth, and celebrating yourself with confidence, self-respect, and authenticity.

Being yourself is never a problem. Many people may see it as something negative because youโ€™re different from others, but always remember that being yourself is more than enough. Itโ€™s better to stay true to who you are than to pretend to be someone youโ€™re not.

To those who are afraid to express themselves, we hope that one day youโ€™ll remember that you are not alone. Expressing yourself is what makes you unique, beautiful, and authentic.
