4 STAR CLUB
Rotaract Club of Kalilayan Makati Ayala Triangle

Presented in recognition of the club’s outstanding commitment to service, leadership, and excellence in advancing the mission and vision of Rotaract District 3830.

Through meaningful projects, active community engagement, and a strong spirit of volunteerism, the club has shown how young leaders can become powerful instruments of change. Its dedication reflects the true essence of Rotaract — to serve with purpose, lead with compassion, and create lasting impact in the lives of others.

This recognition is also deeply connected to the advocacy, mission, and vision of the Kalilayan Folkloric Group in promoting cultural education as a vital part of community development. Through the preservation and promotion of Philippine folk dance, music, traditions, costumes, and local heritage, cultural education becomes more than an artistic pursuit; it becomes a meaningful form of service that strengthens identity, pride, and nationhood.

By supporting initiatives that bring culture closer to learners and communities, the club helps nurture a generation that understands the value of heritage, respects the wisdom of tradition, and carries forward the Filipino spirit with dignity and purpose.

This partnership of service and culture reflects a shared commitment: to educate, inspire, empower, and unite communities. It proves that leadership is not only seen in action, but also in the preservation of memory, identity, and legacy.

Through this achievement, the club stands as a true example of Rotaract excellence — united for good, rooted in service, and committed to creating lasting impact through cultural education and community transformation.

OUTSTANDING PROJECT
Sayaw Kalilayan 2025
Rotaract Club of Kalilayan Makati Ayala Triangle

Presented in recognition of SAYAW KALILAYAN 2025, held last September 13–14, 2025, for its outstanding contribution to Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Area of Focus through culture-based learning, community service, and meaningful educational impact.

More than a folk dance seminar-workshop, SAYAW KALILAYAN became a living classroom where learners, teachers, artists, and community members gathered to study, experience, and preserve Philippine dance heritage. Through lectures, demonstrations, dance instruction, costume discussions, music appreciation, and cultural research, the project opened meaningful learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom.

By bringing together hundreds of participants from Quezon Province and neighboring communities, the project strengthened cultural literacy, deepened appreciation for local heritage, and empowered learners to understand their identity through movement, music, history, and tradition. It also provided access to educational materials, dance literature, documentation, and mentorship that may continue to benefit schools, cultural groups, and future generations.

SAYAW KALILAYAN reflects the heart of Rotary service: uniting people for good, creating lasting impact, and transforming education into a shared community experience. Through this project, culture became a tool for learning, heritage became a source of pride, and dance became a pathway toward deeper literacy, stronger identity, and sustainable community development.

Dr. José P. Rizal | 165th Birth Anniversary
(José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda)
June 19, 2026

“Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” The youth is the hope of our motherland. These timeless words remind us of Dr. José P. Rizal’s deep faith in the power of the new generation to bring positive change, progress, and renewal to our nation.

As we commemorate the 165th birth anniversary of Dr. José P. Rizal, we honor not only his heroism, but also his vision of an educated, dignified, and patriotic Filipino people. Rizal believed that true love of country begins with learning, discipline, moral courage, and service to others. His life continues to inspire us to protect our heritage, value our culture, and strengthen our Filipino identity.

To our Rotaractors, Rizal’s message is a meaningful call to action. The youth are not merely leaders of tomorrow; they are partners in nation-building today. Through service, creativity, education, compassion, and community action, Rotaractors carry the same spirit of hope that Rizal entrusted to the youth.

May this day remind every young Filipino to serve with humility, lead with purpose, and live with love for country—proud of our heritage, faithful to our values, and committed to a better Philippines.

HERITAGE IN SERVICE, CULTURE IN ACTION

The Rotaract Club of Kalilayan Makati Ayala Triangle proudly joins DAGYAW 2026 District Conference, a gathering that celebrates youth leadership, service, fellowship, and collective impact.

As part of the opening program, we are honored to share the artistry of the Kalilayan Folkloric Group of Catanauan, Quezon through La Jota Quirino, a 19th-century Philippine folk dance that beautifully blends Spanish Andalusian jota influences with local Ilocano movements. Preserved through the research of National Artist for Dance Ramon Arevalo Obusan, this dance reminds us that culture is a living legacy carried by every generation.

The celebration will also feature PN Rommel Padillo Serrano of the Rotary Club of Makati Ayala Triangle and Artistic Director of KFG, as he performs “Pilipinas,” a timeless patriotic song popularized by the Mabuhay Singers—a tribute to love of country, Filipino values, and national pride.

📅 June 6, 2026
🕑 Program Proper: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Makati Rotary Club Foundation Inc. Building, Makati City
👔 Attire: Modern Filipiniana / Barong

Through service, music, and dance, we continue to honor our roots while inspiring young leaders to serve with identity, purpose, and pride.
