The Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) is a feedback mechanism designated as the governmentโ€™s main helpdesk where citizens can request for information and assistance on government frontline service procedures, and report commendations, appreciation, complaints, and feedback.

The CCB was established by the Civil Service Commission and the Information and Communications Technology Office-National Computer Center (ICTO-NCC) to support the implementation of Republic Act No. 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) of 2007.

The Senate of the Philippines has approved on third and final reading Senate Bill No. 1432, or the proposed Peopleโ€™s Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, with a 22โ€“0 vote.

Also known as โ€œAn Act Implementing the Peopleโ€™s Right to Information and the Constitutional Policies of Full Public Disclosure and Honesty in the Public Service, and for Other Purposes,โ€ the measure seeks to promote full public disclosure and strengthen transparency and accountability in government.

The Freedom of Informationโ€“Program Management Office (FOI-PMO), under the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), continues to support efforts toward institutionalizing access to information across the government.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In its 3rd Joint Steering Committee meeting on April 30, the United Nations and the Government of the Philippines convened to review progress under the 2024-2028 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), assess achievements in 2025, and agree on strategic priorities for the remainder of 2026.

Despite global challenges and shocks, the partners highlighted strong progress and joint action in 2025, during which the UN system continued providing reliable support across priority areas, reinforcing national efforts toward sustainable development and the countryโ€™s imminent transition to upper-middle-income status.

โ€œThe Government of the Philippines remains firmly committed to ensuring that the United Nations-Philippines Cooperation Framework delivers tangible outcomes that support our national priorities and improve the lives of our people, and we are looking forward to the United Nations and our partners to continue providing strategic and high-impact support,โ€ said DEPDev Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan.

The jobs crisis is real. With weak growth and job-generating economic engines, PH has the highest unemployment in Southeast Asia, followed by Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand, per available data.

Today, we stand with the workers who keep our communities running, often unseen and unheard. From farms to factories, from streets to offices, their labor sustains our economy and our daily lives.

Recognition alone is not enough.

Filipino workers deserve living wages, safe working conditions, social protection, and institutions that truly listen and respond. Labor rights are human rights. These must be upheld not only in words but through concrete policy and meaningful action.

They do not just build the nation. They must have the power to shape it.

SKC Philippines conducted an official visit to Aurora Province to advance youth participation and inclusive local development.

The visit was led by SKC Founder Ellirie Aviles, who paid a courtesy call to Governor Isidro Galban and engaged with Vice Governor Patrick Angara. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between government and youth led and civil society organizations, particularly in youth employment, leadership development, civic participation, and good governance.

A key highlight of the visit is the appointment and formal welcome of Rachelle Anne Imperial as SKC Provincial Representative for Aurora, reinforcing the Coalitionโ€™s local presence and leadership in the province.

SKC also identified initial areas of collaboration with Sรญkat-Aurora led by its founder, RJ Belen, with both parties exploring partnership opportunities to strengthen local coordination and empower youth leaders.

This visit forms part of SKCโ€™s efforts to strengthen its Central Luzon Guild under the leadership of Regional Ambassador Devin Sagun.

We look forward to translating these engagements into concrete initiatives on the ground!

While youth engagement is growing, representation in formal political processes remains critically low โš ๏ธ

At the , the UN Youth Office hosted a plenary session exploring youth leadership in challenging contexts, and the journey from civic action to institutional influence.

All over the world, including in conflict-affected communities and amid shrinking civic spaces, young people are not waiting to be invited into leadership. When institutions fail to create meaningful pathways, youth donโ€™t disengage โ€” they find alternative ways to be heard.

If our institutions are to be legitimate and future-ready, young people must be part of decision-making. Not as beneficiaries or tokens, but as real partners.

This requires more than creating space. It requires sharing power.
