Rotary Club of Makati-Paseo de Roxas Club No. 27256
Chartered May 23, 1990 The Game starts in the land where it is played.

This is the game of gold, a gentleman’s game based on the highest ethical standards of integrity, fairness and truthfulness. Anchored on these objectives and on the close bonding of a group of 36 avid golfers, thus was born, one of the youngest Rotary Club of Makati , that is, Paseo de Roxas, eighteen years ago, on May 23, 1990. Playing as godfather and emissary of then District Governor Herman Gam

boa, Rotarian Ben Domingo, who is also an ardent golfer, invited the group composed of businessmen, corporate officers and budding tycoons to a simple dinner, one weekend, after a round of golf in Baguio. The dinner was Godfather Ben’s and Past District Governor Herman’s ingenous plan to entice the loosely-held group, whose commn denominator was golf, to form the newest Rotary Club in Makati. Over dinner, the two painstakingly explained the objective of a Rotary Club, which are basically moored on the same objectives of playing golf; truthfulness, fostering goodwill and better friendships, and the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. Thus, is not surprising to see a cross golf clubs under the Rotary whell on the banner of the Rotary Club of Makati – Paseo de Roxas as well as the Golfer’s Prayer in its souvenir programs. From that fruitful dinner almost 2 decades past, the Rotary Club of Makati – Paseo de Roxas has grown in terms of reaching out to those in need, working hard to achieve peace and unity, and promoting goodwill and friendship.

𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀, 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻- The Rotary Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas (RCMPDR) officially turned over the newly renovated Transition Room at the Villasis Central School SPED Center on November 28, 2025!

This day was about more than just renovation—it was about comprehensive support! RCMPDR also provided an additional wheelchair and essential school supplies.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to our incredible partners:
* Learning is Fun for their generous donation of a variety of books to enrich the children's learning.
* Jollibee Carmen Branch for ensuring everyone was well-fed by providing meals for the children and their parents. The surprise appearance of the Jollibee mascot brought huge smiles and extra fun!

Another highlight of the day was an engaging session led by Mr. Marvin Falqueza. His talk, "Journey of Hope: A Practical Guide for Parents Raising Children with Special Needs," provided a valuable platform for parents to engage in a productive discussion about supporting their children.

It was a day full of impact and heartwarming moments - RCMPDR continues to live RI motto, Service Above Self. ✨

𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 - RCMPDR had the privilege of donating four brand-new motor engines to local fishermen in Cabangan. This generous act was made possible through a collaborative effort with the Guerrero Brotherhood, Maharlika Order, allowing us to extend our support to 60 families whose livelihoods depend on fishing.

The ceremony was filled with warmth and gratitude as we witnessed the smiles on the faces of the fishermen and their families as they received the motor engines. These new engines will undoubtedly boost their fishing operations, providing a much-needed boost to their income and overall well-being.

Many of these hardworking individuals have been struggling to recover from the devastating impact of recent typhoons, which severely affected their fishing equipment and livelihoods. In response to their plight, our club decided to take action and provide assistance to those in need. In addition to the motor engines, we also distributed relief goods to families who require support.

Through this initiative, we aimed to uplift the livelihoods of these fishermen and their families, empowering them to rebuild and strengthen their communities. We believe that by working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and create a positive impact in our community.

On October 11, Rotary Club of Makati - Paseo de Roxas proudly co-hosted the Health Caravan Pasay Edition, spearheaded by UGP Emil Orencia (RC Makati F Zobel) and UGP Tess Robles (RC Makati Gems). In collaboration with Villasis Central School's SPED department, we facilitated the participation of six students with hearing impairments, who underwent comprehensive hearing assessments.

Through partnership with Starkey Foundation Inc., these students received life-changing interventions, including free hearing aids valued at PHP 50,000 each. Notably, all six students required bilateral hearing aids, underscoring the significance of this initiative.

The emotional responses from students, parents, and teachers were a powerful testament to the event's significance. Moments like these embody Rotary's dedication to driving meaningful impact in our communities. ✨

On September 24, RCMPDR had a highly productive day as PP Milet Belicena and PP Marivic del Pilar traveled to Iloilo to spearhead three impactful projects in collaboration with RC Metro Iloilo. The projects included:

Project 1: Education Subsidy Awarding: Two deserving students received subsidies - John Kenneth Someros, a 4th-year BS Secondary Education major in English student, and Trixie Marie Consorte, a 2nd-year BS Hospitality Management student, both from the University of Iloilo - PHINMA.

Project 2: Donation to Western Visayas Sanitarium Integrated School: RCMPDR donated to the school's makeshift classroom project, contributing to the students' learning environment.

Project 3: Tax Awareness Seminar: A seminar was held at the University of Iloilo for 165 Business and Accountancy students from 2nd to 4th year, featuring presentations from BIR RDO 074, which sparked a lively Q&A session.

With these projects, RCMPDR is demonstrating a strong commitment to Rotary International's September theme of basic education and literacy. Through their proactive approach to supporting learning initiatives, they're not only underscoring the significance of education but also driving meaningful change in the community. ✨📚

GLOBAL GRANT PROJECT ASSESSMENT AT TARLAC PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL

Last September 4, RCMPDR visited Tarlac Provincial Hospital for our GG project assessment. The meeting with Dr. Agnes and Dr. Abbie Paez, along with our sister club RC Midtown Tarlac led by President Ferdinand and PDG Jaypee Cadaing, was very successful.

Witnessing the NICU department's needs made it clear that our donation will provide substantial support to the hospital. ✨
