AMAzing Journey: Norman's Story 🇵🇭

Norman planned to be an engineer, work abroad, and earn as much as he could. Then he said yes to a work camp, and that one yes kept growing.

He was among the 12 alumni of AMA's very first batch. He swapped structural analysis for grade six math and First Communion classes in Barrio Obrero, and after 14 years of teaching and community work he no longer wanted to be an engineer.

For some, the AMA Volunteer Program leads not to the life they planned, but to the one they were called to.
